Assetto Corsa Competizione Intercontinental GT Pack DLC Previews Show off Suzuka Circuit

With the new year in full swing, Kunos Simulazioni is continuing to tease the next big thing coming to Assetto Corsa Competizione.

Last September, studio co-founder Marco Massarutto announced the Intercontinental GT Pack DLC at the Tokyo Game Show. The paid add-on brings four new circuits to the PC sim, allowing players to recreate the 2019 season of the Intercontinental GT Challenge.

Following that initial announcement and a preview of the Kyalami track, things had gone a little quiet at Kunos. However, it all seems to have picked up again with the 2020 season of the IGTC almost upon us. Last week, Kunos showed off previews of Mount Panorama, otherwise known as Bathurst. The images revealed the circuit from various angles, as well as weather conditions and a load of new car skins.

Ahead of the season-opening race at Bathurst on February 2, new screenshots of Suzuka Circuit have now also arrived. These images show off the Japanese venue in breathtaking detail. You can see the circuit under the black of night, as well as what appears to be sunset. While there isn’t a screenshot showing off the track in the pouring rain yet, you can be sure it will be an option.

Based in Suzuka City, Japan, the 3.6-mile (5.8km) circuit features 18 corners including the fearsome, high-speed 130R, and is one of few ‘figure eight’ circuits in the world. Perhaps best known as the home of the Formula One Japanese Grand Prix, Suzuka is easily a favorite for fans and drivers alike.

Along with Bathurst and Suzuka, the Intercontinental GT Challenge Pack will feature WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca, and Kyalami. ACC already features Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, completing the five-race calendar for the 2019 series — though for 2020 Indianapolis Motor Speedway takes the place of Laguna Seca.

Unfortunately, pricing and a set release date for the DLC pack remain unknown. With the season-opening race next weekend, it wouldn’t surprise us if that information came sooner rather than later. Keep an eye out for more information as it’s available.
