This thread is surely getting out of hand. I´m placing myself at Ozmac´s standpoint here. Thank you DE for being a very sane person!
I have decided to post the settings for a few selected cars and what speed I achieved with it, and then all you people can do whatever you want with them. The cars will be:
The Minolta Toyota 88C-V, The Nissan R92CP, The Audi R8, The Bentley Speed 8.
I have no idea if this is useful, but if anyone uses my settings and posts a new recordrun for that car, it´s their run, I don´t care. At least someone would think it´s fun go fast with someone elses settings...

DE maybe post up your own template.. so we can just cut and paste it and just fill in the blanks. this way all the fields are something you understand.

Allright, here comes the settings for the previously mensioned four cars.

Minolta Toyota 88C-V

Tyres F/R:
R3/R1

NOS: 70

Suspension F/R:
Springs - 4.0/4.0
Rideheight - 105/55
Damper Bound - 10/1
Damper Rebound - 10/1
Camber - 1.0/0.5
Stabilisers - 1/2

Gearing:
1 - 3.930
2 - 2.410
3 - 1.675
4 - 1.320
5 - 1.008
6 - 0.800
Final - 2.515
Auto - 18
Set final to max first, then max auto, adjust final to 2.515, and the rest as stated above.

Downforce F/R:
62/88

LSD: 60/60/15

My top speed with these settings: 357.11mph.
There is room for some improvement, especially in the gearing, and I also belive downforce may allow 61 in front without a wheelie.
All adjustable parts not mensioned are 0 or doesn´t matter (brakes).

Nissan R92CP

Tyres F/R:
R2/R5

NOS: 68

Suspension F/R:
Springs - 4.0/4.5
Rideheight - 105/55
Damper Bound - 10/1
Damper Rebound - 10/1
Camber - 1.0/0.0
Stabilisers - 1/2

Gearing:
1 - 3.080
2 - 1.820
3 - 1.280
4 - 1.000
5 - 0.770
Final - 2.375
Auto - 10
Slide auto to max, adjust final to max, and then auto to 10. The rest as stated above.

Downforce F/R:
60/88

LSD: 60/30/5

My top speed with these settings: 343.87mph.
I can´t think of any real improvements here, but of course there are!
All adjustable parts not mensioned are 0 or doesn´t matter (brakes).

Audi R8

Tyres F/R:
R1/R5

NOS: 50

Suspension F/R:
Springs - 4.0/4.2
Rideheight - 105/55
Damper Bound - 10/1
Damper Rebound - 10/1

Stabilisers - 1/2

Gearing:

2 - 1.545
3 - 1.090
4 - 0.830
5 - 0.640
6 - 0.530
Final - 3.300

My top speed with these settings: 353.88mph.
I haven´t quality checked this one, so it may not be legit, but it should be. If not, adjust rear springs to 4.2. Room for improvement in gears and suspension.
All adjustable parts not mensioned are 0 or doesn´t matter (brakes).

I've been running my bently right around 340.. but i think im going to compare my settings with yours... i think i was at auto 23.. lets see where im losing power.. on the other hand.. with this car im getting a small 2nd gear.. i mean it ends fast.. i gotta see what i can do about that. thanx man

I got pissed when he tried to pass the same wheelie again & again, Like as if we are all stupid over here. (I know, My Judgement of the run is not final, But when there is such a Obvious wheelie We all know its not legit)

And there are 2 of them (Im still insulted) working together.

Thanks for the Confirmation, I got the Idea from O_B, But I figgured Multiple shots whould be needed.

Im going to leave the GT-One alone for a It, and see If I cant get a Bentley to catch up.

First Run in the Bentley Pulled a 347mph Hmmmmm, she may be a Contender Yet.

348mph second Run, But these Gears look like they need alot of work, Im going to work on her later.

I just tried the Ford GT '05 again and I think it could legitamately be a 300 MPH car. I just need to work around the torque curve. (Time to Chaparral it)

I messed around a bit with the downforce of my Toyota 88c-v and managed to get 16mph faster than before. Currently its on 335mph. The car isnt on 2 wheels when i reach this speed but it jumps. I want to go faster but after every run, i loose about 5BHP!! Whats going on??

You need a chassis refresh and an oilchange!

For the record, never ever ever get chassis refresh, and still less should you get rollbars. If the car you're using has rollbars, gain 5mph by getting one that doesn't!

Toronado, nicely done with the Lotus. I got one at long last at the start of last week, and on a preliminary test I did 306.XXmph. We'll see how close to the record I can get, we might have a nice little battle 👍

I was a little disapointed with the top speed of the Formula GT (Its not a F1) Ill be impressed with 250mph gear set ups. No wait, Ill be REALLY IMPRESSED with 250mph set ups actually.

I was pretty upset with the performance over 200 as well. i mean it accelerates crazy up to 200 and handles faster then any other car in turns at high speeds. but at 900Hp you would figure that this car at its weight could hit 300. it just dogs once it gets into 6th if you stretch out the gears. im going to work on that tonight. i think 250 wasnt a problem 275 was the rough number to hit. and that is MPH

Klm/h at 300 is i think the default gear ratios

Who has it and what car did they use?

And Will it count if I use a NoS capable car but Dont install NoS? (I will make a Vid for the lap)

Congratulations on the new Road Car Record Rac3r, I don't think you can fiddle the car to wheelie easily but a video would set me at ease

The No NOs record is retained by Ozmac with the Chaparral 2D, a no-NOs run in a car that can take NOs is permitted, but it does need a video of the full run to prove that NOs was not used. I think I've answered that somewhere before, sorry for the video demand but otherwise it's impossible to tell.

Good news! tomorrow I'll have my third, and hopefully last copy of GT4 that I'll ever need to buy..

and, due that ,I'm back.. I'll continue fiddling with 300ZX TT, because it seems to be pretty potent car. true, it has worse aerodynamics than supra, but, somehow, I have this itch that it's another 3l twinturbo 6-banger that reaches 300 mph.. :crazy:

No I didn't as a matter of fact, but I did get a photo and it would take some serious effort to get the 2D to wheelie. I know that Toronado had his at 297 for ages anyway, so not everyone stops at 283. I believe that run. What are you intending to use against it?
