Thank you ! I appreciate you wanting to see it. I think all the colors are great of this car :)

Well, I agree about the colours :) , but the one you don’t have is always the best one :grumpy: , and then its damn annoying to miss one :grumpy: It’s starting to turn over to an obsession and I better get it soon or I don’t now what I might do to my PS2, I sit in my play seat, eyes closed after the last race and :grumpy: :scared: :nervous: :indiff: :irked:  :banghead: 🤬 🤬 🤬 ………..grrrrr when it is another silver, white or greenish one.

Shelby G.T.350R

Everyone interested in cars knows the Mustang. Many people interested in racing know Shelby. What do we get when these two are combined?

A pretty fast Mustang, I'd say. And it really it fast, with only 311 bhp it's one of the fastest muscle cars thanks to the refinements made by Mr. Shelby. Considering its quite modest top speed of 209 km/h I was amazed to see that this 40-year-old American legend is as fast as the sportscars of our time. Not a small achievement.

The exterior is the classic Mustang Fastback, enhanced with some racing stripes and the bumpers have also been removed. The car has a very clean look, only the wheels are spoiling the racy image.

The engine pulls strongly through the whole rev range and only runs out of steam after the redline. The whine of the engine is accompanied by the growl of the exhaust and the result is a hair-raising note that can be easily identified.

The overall handling of the car is good even by today's standards, in the sixties it has been excellent. It understeers a bit, but that's not a surprise with a big V8 on the front wheels. The main drawback of this car is its lack of a limited slip differential. Now much of the power is lost when accelerating in slow speeds and the LSD would also help in powering out of some corners by throwing the rear out a bit to counter the understeer.

There is some body roll but it's understandable for an old American car. Nothing dangerous, just some swinging in corners and slight nodding under braking. This can be easily cured with a stiffer suspension set.

Another problem is the gearbox that only has four ratios quite close to each other. This helps in acceleration but there is enough power reserve to achieve a top speed of about 260 km/h instead of the stock 209.

A conclusion: this is a good car as stock but even better when fitted with some tuning parts.

+ Engine power and torque
+ The age doesn't show
+ It's a Mustang, can you demand more?

Report

The Nissan Skyline GT-R concept is one helluva car. I feel it is much better than previous generations, it doesn’t give you the same feeling of front tires pushing constantly like some of the earlier models. And it feels like it has a great deal of usable power. Body roll stays to a minimum and the brakes do wonders with s2 tires.

The worth!- This car has a tremendous amount of power stock, and with the 4wd which I feel can never be taken out of the GT-R’s, gives you a lot of room for mistakes when going through a turn. The help of those front wheels can whip the back end straight if you ever get it sideways. Also, when cornering, the body roll is next to non existent, it stays nice and full of poster throughout the turn. Another great thing about this car is the terrific brakes it has. Even on S2’s, it came to a stop in due time without any barrier hitting. It’s easy to transition between full braking and full braking while turning because once those front wheels aren’t driving any more, it gets very easy to turn and control. While the front tires don’t push as much as previous models, it is still there.

The worthless!- With a great amount of power and four wheel drive, one thing is certain, good engineering and chassis design can hide it, but its still going to rear its ugly head, under steer that is. With a stiffer suspension than last years model, it eliminates a little of the under steer, but that 4wd just kills the turning capabilities under power. I noticed a huge difference between turning under cost and turning under power, it stays modest with a slight push on the throttle, but when you floor it, it just pushes straight and gives you that feeling of “Is my life insurance paid in full?”. You had better hope so, because the under steer is very deceiving, you think you can take a turn with speed under power because of its good handling under braking and costing, but once you do take a turn with speed under power, those tires just go straight ahead. Other than the turning under power being retarded or just paralyzed, there aren’t too many things wrong with the new GT-R.

Conclusion- An overall improvement upon previous models, but still needs some work with the under steer, maybe NISSAN could try and put auto camber adjust in it, like Mercedes is trying out. Whatever they do, they need to do it quick, for GT5 is coming and I hope to see a better GT-R. In no way am I saying it is a bad vehicle, it behaves quite nicely most of the time, and has a great sense of speed with it. The cosmetics aren’t too bad either, they chose a great fastback design, and kept the trademark tail lights, while improving on the grill that was made famous in that damn movie. I really had a lot of fun with this car, and I hope you do to, enjoy!

alright matt, you're just mad cuz you are polish, go have a beer. :sly: . But really ram rod, sorry man, but all of the spots are filled, its in the first post, if someone leaves, then we will have try outs.
