Welcome to Japan, will we see the home manufacturer take the points or will UDO continue their 100% winning run so far this season.

This weekend we take to the legendary Circuit of Suzuka, fast and flowing in certain parts, yet devastatingly tight in others. Who has the guts to take the 130r at high speed.

Arcade mode / single race / world circuits / Suzuka Circuit

Set your amount of laps to 9 for the race, AI, assists and transmission are up to you.

Tyres must be Sports HARD tyres.

All olr rules apply.

No wall/AI touching (tiny bumps and scrapes are fine with the AI)
No wallriding
No shortcutting
No CHEATING

I have the right to request a replay from anyone if i think the time is suspicious so dont cheat and i wont have to:D

Have fun! Times in by Monday midnight (might as well make it that as im working sunday night)

The secret is to turn in very late and hard at about 157mph and then straighten your wheels so that as you ride the exit rumble strip you don't disturb the car and make it spin. At least, that's what works with the Astra Race Car ... might not be the same with these babies :lol:.

I'm just about to do some practice laps in Free Run to get a feel for the car/course combination (and to evade the frustration I'm enduring of a hot lap competition in race cars else where :eek:!). If all doesn't go to plan I may well be joining you chaps in GT Heaven :scared:.
 
Just as I thought, hard tyres in a Viper at 130R = "The corner was 20 meters ago..." :lol:

:lol: But this race ends as round 4 begins... OK heres a bet, if i beat you in this race, you give me 5 bonus points however, if you beat me, you can take 5 points off my score.

Must remind new racers to double check their power and weight configurations in the round 1 thread or the sign up thread. 👍 just as a precaution.
 
Ive done quite a bit of testing with the Jag and im quite confident of setting a decent time even if UDO do well.
 
I wouldn't worry about UDO this week, Benedict, or at least not this particular member anyhow :D. Having a real struggle getting to finish a race with a reasonable time - Suzuka is very unforgiving :(.

At first the Jag was a horrible car to drive through the first few corners that are supposed to be taken quickly, but ive gotten used to it and i will be going for a good time today and tomorrow.
 
After numerous attempts I finally got a clean race under my belt... Phew!
 
I'm gonna give it one last crack, i still can't hook the viper round 130R properly and the first corner.
