So far only had one time in for the Honda Civic hot lap competition, nobody else interested?

Track: Tsukuba Circuit
Must use the car setup linked above or available on share from me.
Proof of time required
HLC ends 01-12-11 @ midnight EST

The 1:00.897 is the best I could do with your set up. The 1:00.695 is if we're allowed to adapt the brake balance to our driving preference. Why anyone would ever run equal brake balance front to back on a FF, is beyond me.

More food for thought, under your current build the car is rated at:
253hp @ 7900rpm
172tq @ 7400rpm

The simple swap, from Sports Air filter, to Standard air filter
Then from standard Catalytic Converter to Sports
Then Adjust the Power limited to 97.6%
results in:

254hp @ 8500rpm
170tq @ 7500rpm

And the PP remains at 450 either way, but with the latter of the 2, you gain 600rpms of power band.

*Note
There's something weird with this car and the power limiter. Changes of .1% can alter the rpm range greatly. Going from 97.6 to 97.8 is a 400rpm drop. Then another .1% you gain 300rpm, etc.

As for feedback... It's an FF. It understeers badly, it has issues putting the power down, under braking it refuses to turn, it lacks agility, and has a hard time with change of directions midcorner. But... That's 99% because of the drivetrain/car, so I can't fault you. Also, borrowed cars can't be taken online, so I can't be completely sure how much, if any, it differs online vs offline where we had to time trial.

I was using the car online and I didnt seem to have an issue with the brake balance so I left it how it was. A couple people have mentioned the undesteer during braking though so I will have a look at this once the HLC is over, and make some adjustments, thanks.

I see:idea:
Again I will check this out once I take the car off share.

Thanks for feedback, and congrats on posting fastest time.

Updated tune:

Only a slight adjustment, but makes a big difference.
Before the front end felt heavy and didnt want to turn, now it is much better and easier to drive.

Tested Online.

Just purchased a 2nd hand Fanatec CSR Steering wheel and pedals. Don't think I'll be posting any more tunes for the DS3 now, after Harvey's Tons of Fun tuner shootout.

Edit:
Last day to submit a time for the Honda Civic HLC. HLC Ends midnight tonight, GMT 0.

HLC Over, Final Standings:

Well done everyone.

£350 down and I now have my csr wheel and pedals. Rennsport stand should be down on wednesday, looking foward to tuning some cars for wheel users. 👍

Great video man, just like watching an episode of BMI, good stuff, and a bit funny. 👍

You need an extra driver for this, I'd like to participate.

Many people dislike this car and I can see why. When stock this thing handles so bad, it understeers on corner entry and oversteers on corner exit. Well not anymore. I managed to balance out the under/oversteer to a level that I think everyone can enjoy. I think this is sure to be one if the fastest 600PP roadcars about.

I've just tested your 86 GT '12 tune. It handles awesomely well, it goes a little slidey in some exit corners (tested it on the Green Hell lol), but can easily be recovered with just a tad of counter-steering. My main question is if the choice of spoilers might change the tune, because I prefer the little spoilers instead of that big spoiler.

Cheers mate glad you liked the tune, are you using downforce at 19? Because you could change it to 20 then just reduce the power slightly.

And I dont think it makes any difference, I had the small spoiler on first but then changed it to make it look like more or a tuner car.

Anybody going to try the GT-R tune?
I think it is one of the best around.

I'm going to try it later ! Yes my downforce was at 19. And I like when the car goes somewhat slidey, it breaks out the boredom of some cars haha

Wow I tried your 86 tune and I was blown away by how grippy it was, I had to keep double checking to make sure I wasn't using racing softs. I ended up giving your EK and S2000 tunes and was equally impressed! I'll definitely be keeping an eye out on your shop in the future. As for requests.. I'd like to see you tune a Mach 1 Mustang for the Stars & Stripes seasonal :)

Cheers dude thanks for comment, and I'll get Mach 1 done then.

May not be suited for beginners or DS3 users because I have chose not to use full downforce. For me this is no problem and I can post pretty fast times with it.
For some shorter/technical track you may want to decrease the front camber to around 1.9/2.0
Or you can just stick on some Racing Softs and not have to worry about anything. :)

Hi Jackthalad,

Just finished testing this setup with a DS3 controller and its perfect for those who use to play and dont own a wheel.

As you said with racing hards and with front camber to 1.9 the car is very well balanced. Slides a little bit, but its easy to control it... 👍

The low values of the downforce wont even matter, the car glues to the track. Just did on Tsukuba (my test track) 0:53:022.

With racing softs, just ripped the asphalt off... 0:52:391

Controller settings: Everything OFF - ABS=1

Brilliant tune mate! 👍

Chat you soon.

BTW, these recent tunes you made are all my favourite cars, going to spend several days playing a lot...

Funny cause this is tuned with a wheel lol. Glad up like the tune mate and that is a very impressive time, my best was 0:54.xxx. Which end slides the front or rear? I will try to fix this.
 Good to hear, hope you enjoy theres more where they came from next year.
Merry Christmas & Happy New Year 👍
