I was thinking about this while in training, (way to go Alex, skip the training), and I wonder how I have changed since I have come to GTP. The reasoning for this is lately I have had to come to a lot of rash and crude decisions in my life. Many memories have been brought back up and I have been living through some previous nightmares and good times.

I have noticed when I first came here to GTP, I was extremely aggresive to make friends and assertive with bashing people that screwed up. I pissed a few off and then made some "enemies". Now I am extremely open with everyone, but still the arse that I was when I first got here. I have calmed down a bit, but everyone has their moments.

How does everyone else feel about themselves since they intialally got here?

I was extremely willing to attack people and make fun of them. Although I still feel like doing it and as a result of my banning I've promised a good moderator friend that I wont do it again.

Sucks to be me then :( :( :p

Eh, I was a noob who didn't know what the search function was. It took me awhile but I started using it. I often find myself wanting to post certain things but don't because I'd rather not flame someone. There's no point to it.

Believe it or not, almost my first experience here was spamming the HMRCWG thread. I got busted by Talentless or Nocturnal PS and I said "You're kidding, right? This whole thread is spam." I did say that if they were modserators I would respect their wishes, though.

I used to flame more people than I do now, as well.

Well since GTP was the very first internet forum i'd ever joined, I was quite the n00b and knew nothing of VB Language or how to attach pictures.

When I first came I was always nice to everyone, and tried not to flame. But still now whenever I see a newbie using bad grammar or doing something wrong I seem to just loose it on them. It's something i'd usually do if you knew me in person, but for some reason over the internet it's a whole new story.

I guess me bashing a newbie would make me somewhat of a hypocrite, but oh well. It's all good.

My demeanor has changed very little, but then again, I dont post all that much compared to other people.

When I started here I tried to be very unoffensive and made sure not to piss anyone off. I soon opened up and made a few friends.

Now I don't know what happened. I feel like everything I post now is stupid and mostly unecessary. This is why I post less and they aren't the of the same quality they used to be. I actually dislike reading my older posts for this reason.

OA

This is an online community. For the love of all things pure and holy - DON'T TAKE IT TOO SERIOUSLY.

end of line

I was more serious and less sarcastic, I guess you could say more formal. After a while you get to feel more at home and sort of let it all hang out, as it were.

*burp*

*fart*

I also used to get all sensitive when somebody flamed me, and I never flamed anyone myself. Now I could care less if I piss anyone off, and I flame away if the spirit moves.

And like Timmotheus, I let statements stand. If they're misinterpreted, so be it. I learn a lot about people that way.

It's liberating for a brainwashed, enslaved American such as myself.

Don't remember.

I was a screwy street racer who drove a ricey Civic. Now I'm a toned down commuter who follows the rules of the road and I drive American now.

Starting, I was a n00b who was so excited to join a website.

GTP is the reason, I do any web design and or graphical design.

Yeap. I have to admit, I feel like flaming people ALOT these days, I'm not sure why, though.

I really don't think I've changed all that much since I joined. I use slightly better grammar, but other than that, I'm pretty much the same. :shrugs:

Overall, I haven't changed a whole lot, though I'd definitely more open now than when I first joined. I have to admit that for the past week or so I've been harsher than usual, because stress is starting to get to me. I should be fine once Thanksgiving break is through. :)

Ehh, i started out as a refugee, i wasn't even sure i was going to stay. But i started talking with Josh and gt2_gs, and others i won't name because i don't want to turn this into a 20 line post and it convinced me to stay. I've always been a bit rude, but lately i've been more patient, more understanding. And look where that took me!

hmmmmmmm well...ive been a complete A**hole in the past that was really quick to spew the F word over somebody flaming me in the past.....yup...i was a stuck up jerk.......nowadays though...im the local idiot at gtplanet that posts way too much, has a courage the cowardly dog avatar(hahahaha), loves being flamed(to a degree), and uses ..................... and  way too much in posts................

I guess I took the whole I'm a newb too seriously. When I started I was deferring to every man and his dog and careful to stay away from conflicts.

Now I couldnt give a monkeys fart. Wanna flame, flame. I'll flame back. Whereas before I was scared to make mention of my opinion, now I'm sure to get my sixpence in.

Ahh the perfect example of what I was getting to I think when I made this thread. I recieved a PM for Dontcare or whatever saying "Watch It" as a title. BAsically it was a n00b coming on the Forum and placing one of those "I can't write" threads. In all fun and games I poked fun. The dude took it a little too serious and PMed me that, now he is trying to bash me. So I guess this is a perfect example of "having their moments"

my car taste opened a danged lot when I entered GTP and I learned to embrace the whole car spectrum. my car experience is now much more wider and cooler than ever, thanks to this community. also, I have learned many things in here and I have made new friends. and yeah, Im getting more rude from time to time, but I try to be patient, not like the begining, when I was a complete son of a ***.

Cano

I also learned to hate rice and drifting here (: wich is good.

I've got a bit more cocky than I used to, and I trust most of you more now I know that the Moderators are gonna be fair, but I just act like myself.
