Thought I'd add my setup for those who are looking for a different set up for this challenge. Tried many of the ones already online, but couldn't get any to work for me on the DS3 so, after a bit of trial and error, I came across this setup for the Lotus Elise Gran Turismo Expert Challenge Race on Tsukuba.
As many before me have said, the key to winning this is smooth driving; early progressive braking and a clean drive out of the corners. Any form of under or oversteer will completely ruin the lap. My way around this was to short-shift, changing up gears before you hit 8000rpm, and using the torque to pull you out of the corner without any wheelspin. I didn't change down lower than 4th gear at any point - it will accelerate nicely from 30mph in 4th.
My first lap was a 1:04.5 and the remainder were in the low 1:03s. Aim to be in 6th place by the end of the first lap, and in 4th place by the first corner of the 3rd lap. You should then be taking 2nd on the by last corner of the 4th lap and taking the lead on the back straight on the last lap.
So, here we go.
Bought new. Run in and given an oil change.

Drivetrain Use stock diff
Suspension
Ride Height: -10 / -06

Aids / Other:

Hope someone finds this useful!
