Couple of things about the G27 for those who have used it with GT5.

1. Can you use the paddles on the G27.
2. Do the Shift lights work?

Anyway, since I "should" get the game in 6 hours, I'll post any unanswered question of this thread as soon as possible. (Obviously I own a G27 too)
 
From what i've read, the G27 is fully functional eg. flappies, clutch, lights.
Top left wheel button is look behind, top right one is lights.

As far as I know the other 4 buttons don't do anything or can't be assigned. But i'll only know for sure tomorrow.

But Im also waiting to hear from someone who can confirm this from own experience..

I would also add a question:

4. Is it possible to use the clutch? And does it work gradually or just on/off?

Heard that you can use the clutch, the same as with prologue, so you need to press triangle button as race starts; but again these are speculations..

In a few days it'll all become clear.. :)
 
Someone confirmed that the clutch works and it has a gradual slip point, just as in GT5:P.

I also heard that you don't have to press the triangle, you just have to press the clutch. So the first time you press the clutch it will enable it. This would be awesome if true, but I'm not 100% on that yet.

Only two of the six red buttons on the wheel has a fonction, the first one on left is backward view and the first one on right is "flash light".

Anyway, this G27 full compatibility (even without official support) is one of the best GT5 news ever! (imho)

yes the paddles work... i think i saw on the amar212 thread about the game

he had it one week earlier.

I believe you can set them on the DFP screen, but you'll have to work which button is which etc

When you say triangle thing is also exact what does that mean? Coz I heard from someone that you dont need to press triangle for the clutch to work, in fact you dont need to do anything as its fully compatible or something... cant quite remember where i heard that though

Also can you confirm whether paddle shifters work?
 
1.- Paddles works
2.- Lights works (even the first red light is on when you are about to begin the race)
3.- You can't assign buttons since the wheel menu doesn't show specific G25/G27 options
4.- The clutch works. In fact, I don't know how to disable it. I have both clutch and brake pedals connected and you know what it means when you press both simultaneously

I tried to press triangle but you rev to go backwards, even before the race begins.
 
So the flippers and the clutch work, great.


But do the 6 buttons on the wheel (3 on the left and 3 on the right) configurate. If it's not i will be really disapointed.
 
A french guy from http://www.gt5rs.com is in touch with logitech regarding the G25/G27 full compatibility.
He got recently the following response :
"The patch for the G25 should be available for the official release date"

So maybe good news.

I can copy that. I have it. Actually if i change the button settings on every wheel, which is available in the menu, nothing happens to my buttons :( Maybe I am doing something wrong ... Actually I am using my controller for the use of wipers and horn
