XP Required For Each Level

I searched for this and I couldn't find this anywhere so I'll post it here in hopes that it will make it into the guides section. So I wrote down the xp levels as I was going up and I noticed a pattern. So the math comes to 1.28 times the previous one.

The formula for XP required for the next level is as follows. You multiply the previous xp by 1.28, round by to the nearest integer. I don't know how far it goes so I went up to LVL 50.

Isn't 40 the highest level?

i.e. you need a total of 34.6M exp pt in order to reach Lv40
you need 408M to get to Lv50

At that time you get there, GT6 should be released!!!

Interesting stuff.

Congratuations, hubble618. You've been stickied and immortalized. :D I'd give you a beer, but that would probably be a violation of the AUP. (I don't know if they've added the "Don't drink and drive" part, but it should be in there)

That's a hell of a lot of laps round indy! I'm seriously hoping for more events either through an update or purchasing new content.
 
only thing I need is xp and cash from online races to keep it from becoming a serious grind.. I have barely touched the online mode so far because of this, and besides I still have some gems I'd like to buy to race with online..

In Dirt2 I've seen ppl reach level 300+, it required weeks (and playing every day online) to gain 1 new level so this seems pretty doable..

other question: is it 100% confirmed that the max. level is 40? Or is that just where the last event/race is available but you could go on if you wanted to?
 
Perhaps there are plans to release events that require a level higher than 40 later on?
But that's some crazy exp getting to 40. I can't see anyone getting to 40 by end of year, well not B-Spec anyways.
 
My sons will be out of college by the time I reach the 40th level which in fact is good cause I'll have plenty of time to play GT"X" then.
 
That is a rediculously high number of XP's required! ha. I am at level 15 now and don't see myself getting above 25 ever most likely. I am also hoping for new events too though, just in case I ever do finish these ones, haha.
 
leveling system is epic fail from PD. just trying to extend a mediocre game at most.

29-30 = 600 laps at daytona = 7.5 hours of EFFECTIVE gameplay..... what's the point? u only get 250.000cr per race anyway..


I'm just gonna do whatever I can to get to 30, and get the x1, then bye bye to the pointless leveling.
 
that is an insane amount of xp points to acquire level 40 status. That would take quite a long time. I am at level 20 now and I gave up on trying to level up since it's such a tedious and repetitive process. Why did PD make it so difficult for us to unlock stuff.

Not really. I just finished the 300km (60 laps) at Grand Valley and only got a little over 100,000 points (I need over 200,000 for lvl 26). Yet for one of the Advanced (lvl 24) AMG I remember getting 34,100 points. One takes a few minutes while the other 2+ hours and you can only do the AMG one once for the XP points.

But :cheers: to the O.P. for this info.

7.5 million to reach level 40 doesn't seem so bad, at least for b-spec. I just hope we will be able to continue levelling after you reach 40 though, even if nothing else unlocks after that point.
 
Lmao at the graphical representation! You'd think it would be a little more linear!

Only level 14 now and I haven't even smelled the grind coming. I might not ever get to play black ops again. :)
 
Call us cheaters, call us whatever you'd like. The option to make the game save first of all able to back up like any other game is important.

Second; in this game, it will be very important to make the save file public at one time or another. Let me tell you, 999 out of 1000 players cannot complete the out-of-this-world difficult sebastian vettel challenge for the x1, and that leaves one option...

leveling from 30-40, which is basically pointless. Why you may ask..
Most of the prize cars you get are mediocre, and you only get them once, so you can't sell again for profit. The prize money for the effort and time put into to those endurance races are horrendeous. No other word for it.

Most of the endurance races you will have to do at least twice, or maybe even 3 times to level up on, and going up ABOVE 30, it is just mind-blowing.

To put it into comparison, for me at least.. the effort I presume getting to level 40 A-spec takes, for those of you who have tried world of warcraft, is like getting 10 different characters to level 80.

A slap in the face to even the "above-average" gamer.

No one ENJOYS doing 24 hours races twice, or even more.

And yes, the ultimate goal is to get the elusive X1.

Can't wait for someone to crack or whatever the game save system, so that all of won't have to torture ourselves to get the X1 at one point.

That car is out-of-this-world crazy btw, just from trying it in the vettel challenge.

I've done the Grand Valley 300 twice now, once in the 370Z GT Academy version. I think that took about 2hrs 19min ?
I did it again, this time in a Minolta Toyota 88C-V, only took 1hr 45min in that. I'm around 15,000Exp.s away from Lvl 26. So to level up to 26 isn't so bad.
However the other levels coming up.... a different matter perhaps.
