Aside from the no-HUD option ( which was I was excited most about, Thanks PD! Immersion factor just went up 10 fold. Now we can appreciate the instrument clusters you guys worked so hard on )

I noticed, OFFLINE mechanical damage!!(at least on practice mode, didnt get a chance to check out other modes) :dopey:

And also for us clutch users - Car no longer stalls, and will now stay IDLE when supposed to!! Woot

Cant wait to get home from work

Keep it up PD 👍

Is the clutch still a digital on/off switch or is it analog like other racing games?

Cars deform a little bit faster.

A single front hit on my Subaru looked like it did after about five hits before the update.

Also tested on a Dodge Challenger (I even got the roof to cave in after one roll).

What I am glad to see is that the save back-up files can't be exploited by uploading your own save and giving it to other people to have. Glad they looked into that before just allowing people to save their files on a USB.

I haven't played 1.05 yet but I would say that (in the case of the G27 at least) the clutch is not on/off. I haven't messed around with standstill in a car too much, but I did notice that you can really slip the clutch, i.e. look like a noob on takeoff and hold the rev real high but still slowly take off via the clutch. Also there is technique to shifting with the pedal, and a poor shift is noticeable in the way the engine reacts.

In the update, the car doesn't stall? Kind of a bummer to me, I really liked that element of realism in the gearbox, that you had to know what you're doing to take off with the clutch.

They have also made it so that when sorting cars in your garage, if you sort via Max Power, it will now stay on Mad Power forever until you choose otherwise! It's such a little thing but so important. Also, you can now instant restart races.

I guess the more accurate statement would be, do you still have to stick the clutch all the way to the floor to shift?

Haha, awesome typo in there. Mad power! Very Clarkson.

I'm really liking that. It's one of those little things that was so annoying before. So nice now!

What does this mean? I have two PS3s at two different locations and want to be able to move my game save back and forth. Can I do this on my thumb drive, or not?

Yeah I am interested in that too...I pretty much all but gave up on using the clutch with my G25 since I find neutral way too often...

Yes you can but you need to be logged into the same PSN account in order for it to work. 2 or more PSN accounts can't share the same game save file.

It would be nice if they also updated replays to have FF and RW, along with slow motion to take the best photos, and to take them faster. Cool bonus would be to select a camera spot to record video as well.

Did anyone notice if they added support for G25/27 in the controller option settings?
I'm at work but am looking forward to getting home to this update. Sounds sweet!

You can now grind races without having to reload them, you can just do it from the menu after you have finished the race.

I dont know about that, but now you are not forced to cut the gas completely between shift, half throttle will do the trick :)

bday glitch doesent work either
you can only send 1 car a day even after u delete the save
... i wasnt using it i was just seeing if they changed it
