Is this legit? Supposedly Spa 1991.

I think its from some Ferrari film as a "dream sequence" is as much as I can find out.
Senna was in talks with Ferrari through most of his career (as are many drivers - everyone talks to everyone in F1..doesn't always lead anywhere).
Luca has claimed in the past that Senna had signed for 1995.

So yes, I guess its "fake".

Not to mention its almost impossible that Senna drove a Ferrari in 1991 even in a private test because Prost would have left immediately. Perhaps near the end of the season when Prost was kicked out anyway, but its very unlikely. It would have been big news and would be much widely reported, even if only 1 random photo got out.

Yeah, that's fake. One thing is also you can tell that Jean Alesi was driving the car at the time, because of the #27 on the rear wing.

I'm going to be the odd one out and say it's fake.

Though had Senna lived, this probably would've become reality. It was a dream of his to race for the Scuderia.

I thought Mclaren was his dream team, I never heard anything about him and Ferrari.

The first pic isn't even Spa.

Before you cry "fake", this is not Ayrton Senna driving...

...It's Eddie Irvine.

It's Eddie Irvine testing an Onyx ORE-1 during 1989. Onyx was yet another small, underfunded and poorly run team from the late 80's/early 90's period that collapsed after a short time.

I'm aware of Onyx but I couldn't instantly remember what their cars looked like.

Schumacher in a McLaren? Without even reading the spoiler I smell Monaco 1996.

Except in 1991 it was Prost that drove the car #27. Alesi's on #28 that year. Alesi got #27 in 1992 when Prost was booted for his 'defamatory' remarks (i.e. the truck remark). ;)

Regarding the picture, maybe it's Prost borrowing Senna's helmet? 💡

He said a truck would be easier to drive than the 643.

Not to doubt Prost's abilities, but wouldn't most trucks be easier to drive than any formula car?

Prost got Cesare Fiorio fired mid-season, but didn't back up his results...not that the FA92 was anything special the next year (everything was a bit of a dog compared to the FW14B). I think he then became the first F1 driver to get paid for not appearing at any event at all during the following season. Wound up doing a test or two in the off-season with Ligier before a handshake with Sir Frank early on in '92.

Could be, since the Petronas-badged engines were year-old Ferrari lumps.

Correct. Briatore bought Ligier just so he could get his claws on their supply of Government funded Renault engines.

There was a moment or two where Senna dabbled with quitting F1, ostensibly because he wanted the seat Prost got for '93. But I think it was probably just a perfect PR moment for Phillip Morris to have two top-flight Brazilians in two different open-wheel series...
