Cool sight to visit, even if you don't care too much for the movie. Click on the link, then click on the enter sign in the lower right corner to start the interactive move trailers. Search for all the "crosshairs" and click on them. Then, click on the training link for a fun little game. No movie website has ever been this fun before.

has anyone seen the movie? I'm itching in anticipation since I absolutely loved the first movie despite how little of the original storyline from the novel was used

I should be getting it on DVD soon, I'll let you know what it's like then.

I just realised, I'll get that next week then, it's not out over here yet though.

OK, you like Splinter Cell. And you like the Bourne Identity(Which I like very much also). You must like spys then!!!:dopey:👍

Well, finally people are talking about the movie, but it wasn't the point of this thread. Did ya'll play the interactive games at the link I gave? Meh, I guess I'm the only one who enjoyed them...

Basicly this movie sucks dont get me wrong I liked the first one,but in this one you just feel like its all been done before, and in the trailors the hype it up so much so you dont really even know what your getting into, this is really just an example of the director to live up to the first one and failed very very terriable i hope that this helped you.

If you rate this movie by the standard set by the "Identity", it will get an "F". Camera work was just horrific, plot was pretty bad, acting came down a notch or two, the whole movie was just confusing.

What I couldn't understand was, Doug Liman, who directed the "Bourne Identity" and did an perfect job(IMO), was not back for the second one. Director of the "Bourne Supremacy" was supposed to be an new comer to the "major" motion picture directing and it really showed. He totally ruined every single action scene by blurring them, and chopping them into several million pieces and attaching them together. Not an pretty sight. In one scene, I counted and the cuts changed every 1 - 2 seconds. No, I'm not exaggerating.

I give this movie an "C".

I enjoyed this one, not as much as the first but I still enjoyed it and I'm still looking forward to the Bourne ultimatum.

The 1st Bourne movie was way over budget because of the director. There was an article about it in the Wall Street Journal before its release so don't expect him to be back. The second one was OK but it wasn't as good as the 1st and they aren't half as good as the books. Read one for yourself and decide.

PS
What's with a6m5 and reviving dead threads?
Sorry, Public. I meant to search for the threads on this and the "Bourne Identity" a while ago. I finally remembered to after watching the "Supremacy" on DVD. :indiff:

There's nothing wrong with reviving old threads. He had a reason: he wanted to share his thoughts on the movie, which is exactly what these threads are about. If he made a new thread, he would've been told to search.

If he had nothing useful to add, on the other hand, that's bad news.

I'd like to share my thoughts on both bourne movies if i may
They are both overated pieces of POO!
Identity is worth no more than 5/10
Supremacy maybe 6/10 If it was anyone else in the title role it might have been better, maybe. Matt Damon looks so stupid doing martial arts.
Plus the direction & camera work on that fight in the house was terrible it was like AVP or Resident evil: Apoc, but much worse.
I know this gets praised by critics and most people but it was just average at best. It was an action without good action or a thriller without the thrills.

Interesting......... In your opinion, what other spy action movies are better than "Bourne Identity"?(I'm not going to ask you about the "Supremacy", I hated it too  ).

Hmmm, in my opinion most spy movies are better than Bourne. Even xXx which i found pretty pore. Most of the bond movies are better (Goldeneye my fav). I wouldnt realy call Bourne a spy movie, its more just a thriller. He's an assassin not a spy.
But a much better film in the same vain as Bourne is The long kiss goodnight, Sam Jackson & Geena Davis kick but, and its got Brian Cox init again, lol, perhaps he likes amnezia??

My favorite Bond movie was " You Only Live Twice", but Goldeneye is one of my favorite movies all all-time too. I don't care that much for xXx though, I bought a used copy(because it was really cheap) recently, and I was not [/EDIT] impressed(again).

You are right about how Bourne is more of an Assassin than a Spy, but since he was an Spook(CIA), I think it probably belongs in the Spy Movie genre.

P.S. I think I'll check out the "Long Kiss Goodnight". If I remembered correctly, it was Sam L. Jackson & Geena Davis?

Doug Liman, the director of The Bourne Identity, will be executive producer on The Bourne Ultimatum, which should hit theatres some time in 2007. While he may not be back as director, he hasn't exactly dropped off the face of the earth...

Hmm, interesting opinion and I have to say I disagree with some of, it I did like Goldeneye and xXx was utter turd too imo but The long kiss goodnight didn't really do it for me, but that wasn't a bad film.

I did watch the "Long Kiss Goodnight", and like live4speed said, I didn't think it was bad, but didn't really do it for me either. Action scenes were way over the top, with cars flying all over the place and explosion everywhere. Sam Jackson & Brian Cox were really good in it though. I was quite impressed by other films this director made like Deep Blue Sea(I know, I know), Die Hard 2 and Cliffhanger were some of the action movies I really liked.
