These can be any kind of questions. General Red Dwarf trivia, or place a quote and name the episode/description of episode.

All though this was my idea, I haven't come up with a starter question yet.

If anyone would like to start it off, feel free to do so. Famine.....?

Nice easy one to start.

What does the J in Arnold J Rimmer stand for?

9th hole of Bootle Municipal Golf Course. Par 4, dogleg to the right, in a bunker behind the green.

What's the first item of Rimmer's that Lister burns in order to stay alive in "Marooned"?

I think it was a wad of cash. The soldiers were after Lister burned his 'guitar'!

"I was so excited, I nearly dropped my skateboard"!!!

Actually, I've just had a total brainfart, so I'm going to have to go and check now. I have an answer in mind (and the "Armee du Nord" definitely came after the cash), but now I can't remember if it was the right one... :D

Edit: Yes, I was right... :D

And no, neither of you were.

Rimmers books?

"But have you ever read any of it?"
"No...but I can quote some!"
"Go on then".
"Now...........something, something, something".

The books right?

Great show...either series 4 or 5 were the best....

Nope - the Complete Works of Shakespeare was second ("this should keep me going for a few hours"), although Rimmer protested with the famous "Now..." speech, mentioned above...

Nor was it "Lolita", from which he tore a "memorable" page... :D

Without finding my ageing video of that episode......the only other book mentioned was "The Caretaker by Harold Pinter" or Pint-er as Lister would say! I'm not actually sure which one was burnt first mind..

I just watched it. Is that cheating?

The answer is "Biggles learns to fly"

Ahh......never occured to me!! But I remember it now!

"A book is a thing of beauty, the essence of civilisation....."
"What, Biggles learns to fly?" Or something like that.
I think Marooned is one of the best episodes of Red Dwarf!

:D

I'll give it to slackbladder, as he was the first person to say "books" and didn't cheat to look it up. And is named after something Captain Flashheart said.

Your go, slacky.

Hmmm a question...

Okay, what type of sandwich did Rimmer eat on his 'deathday' anniversary?
I think it's from series two. Not too hard is it? :)

It was a triple fried egg chilli-chutney sandwich.

Holly: "You what?"
Lister: "It's a state of the art sandwich."
Holly: "It's the state of the floor I'm worried about."

What really gets The Cat's feckles up? :D

Being corrected...

"Don't correct me, you know I hate being corrected, it really gets my feckles up!"
"It's hackles..there's no such word as feckles!" Something like that! :)

Name two of the waxdroids found on Wax World?

"It's hackles, you moron. There's no such word as feckles."
"Feckles, heckles, hackles, schmeckles, whatever the hell they are, they're up right now and pointing at you buddy!"

Stan Laurel, Sgt. Elvis Presley, Mother Theresa, Abraham Lincoln, Pythagoras, Albert Einstein, Marilyn Monroe, Ghandi, Santa Claus, Noel Coward, Jean-Paul Sartre, Queen Victoria, Herman Goering, Josef Goebbels, Adolf Hitler, Rasputin, Emperor Caligula and the two weird bird/dinosaur things nicked from a Japanese film.

How does Lister's Paranoia die?

Ha! I was going to say name all of them, but I thought that would be pushing it! Obviously not!

Hmm..........Shoved into a waste dispenser and flushed out into space by Listers Confidence! (I think).
My memory isn't as good as it was!
But, on the assumption I was correct another question!

Where did Lister and Cat think they were on the Backwards Earth?

You were. And Bulgaria

"Nodnol, 871 selim."
"Hang on... Nodnol. Nod nol... It's in Bulgaria innit?"
"What's selim?"
"Must be Bulgarian for... kilometres."

What were the four human forms taken on by the two Polymorphs in the episode "Polymorph"?

A cat wummin ("Jenny who?"), Rimmer, Rimmer's Mum & Lister.

In white hole, who did Gilbert prefer to be known as?
