I don't think this ever been posted before, so:

Same as in GT2, there is hidden in race camera in GT4. There is atleat 20 more A-Spec in race camera mode.2

The address for changing GT4 PAL in race camera view is:
01FE8C20 (PAL)

This is a super crappy video, but you should be able to know what I mean.....:

Code explanation:
This code will change roof camera to any camera you choose. It will detect wether current camera is number 6 or not. If it is it will assign new camera value. With this code you still have 3 camera, but with the last camera changed to the one you choose. Pressing change camera button when we use other than 0 or 1 will reset the camera to 0.
 
That just looks like a very close camara view of a saved video...:scared: So close that you can see the stuff inside the car.
 
While that is the first atempt at hacking the values for in-game use, the ability to get in-car from a replay for photo-mode has been around for a while.

I do this with emulator. So you must be able to run your GT4 on PCSX2 first, able to enter the race too. the rest is easier.

I have friend that has NTSC disc. I will find the code when I can borrow it.

I downloaded that video and you guys are really something. It really does look like that driver is p*ssed off at you. It hurts when I laugh hard.:lol:

You can race in these view using emulator, should be possible with real console too. Sadly I don't have experience with armax code, but try this for PAL:

It seems that that code affects the camera view on the Y axis(up and down) from the position of the roof camera which is virtually the same place on every car. If you could find the X axis code, you could place the camera just infront of the driver's head, and have an even more realistic view.

So...how about someone make this code for the US game?
 
What we enter in those address is camera number. In my subaru video, I change this few time, where you can see left or right window, bird view or in car.
This is the camera value:
0 = bumper (normal)
1 = bird (normal)
6 = hood (normal)
7 = rear hood cam
10 = in car left
11 = in car right
14 = left front tire
15 = right front tire
16 = left rear tire
17 = right rear tire
18 = left bird
19 = left front audience
20 = bird
25 = in car
26 = far

If you press rear view button (L2?) when using this camera, you will see the opposite direction. ie. if we use camera no. 25 (in car), if we press rear view button we will see the passenger seat.

i just bought the Armax Cds and everything, and now i wanna enter these codes to get the in car camera view.
Can anybody please help me with this work? Seems kinda difficult for me :)

I forgot to mention, i got the PAL version of gt4 so as AR max as well

with this code it should work, you will be sitting in the middle of the car...
just when you turn the camera will move the either sides...thats annoying..

and, i found out, it only works in FREE RUN...IN RACE MEETING or FAMILY CUP it doesnt work...wonder why..

Thank you so much for trying the code 👍, this makes me very - very happy. We can finally start doing hybrid in GT4 :D !!!

Unfortunately, I can't find any other in car view camera, camera number is limited. Other camera is from outside. I will post ARMAX code for other camera soon. I will try to find the working code for RACE MEETING or FAMILY CUP too.
 
Sorry to revive a somewhat old thread, but I have a few questions.

What Master Codes are you using to get this code to work (please post the master code)? What version of GT4 are you using (PAL or NTSC)? What version of Action Replay are you using? Are the codes RAW or already encrypted (if encrypted, what encryption)?

The reason I ask these questions is because if the are answered, I can easily convert those codes to any format, and even Codebreak V9.2 (which I have).👍
 
The one who test it with real PS2 is Christhedude, so he know about which mastercode better. But I think if you can get other cheat code running, you will be able to run this code too. The code in the first post is raw.

the format for raw code would be:
PAL
D1FE8C20 00000006
11FE8C20 000000??

NTSC
D1FC2910 00000006
11FC2910 000000??

change ?? to camera number, 19 for cockpit view.
