I've been playing a lot of arcade GT and using the mid-to-higher end cars and I noticed there's quite a few in or around the same Power to Weight Ratio. Cases being the Zonda C12 7.3S, Honda NSX-LM, Saleen S7, VW Nardo, and a few others around the 525-600 hp and 1200-1300 kg marks. I was thinking of a racing series with multiple lap races including strong tyre wear and healthy AI competition, with a possibility for detracting horsepower/ adding weight for repeat winners.. Any thoughts? Feedback and additions are welcomed. :)👍

Just made some additions to the first post, with the vehicles that can and cannot be used. Hopefully this will spark further interest. 👍

hi,
got some car suggestions to you:
bmw m3 csl (my all time favvie gt4 car)
audi rs4 and tt
honda hsc
shelby series 1
tvr tuscan and cerbera speed 6 (fantastic car, ptw can be altered to meet your range)

i'd be interested to join, but only if there are few to no city tracks in the challenge and if the compounds are sort of sticky-ish. i strongly favor gt mode to arcade.

I'd really hate to say it, but all the cars you mentioned aren't strong enough to fit the guidelines listed above in the openning post...:( I'd like to stick rigid to the original thought, to prevent a) too many complications trying to research what car best works with what parts, and the limitations invoved. Or, b) messing with people's GT careers. (Case in point, think SmallHorses Scrooge game where he kept from frivolous spending). I don't mean to be combative to all your points; all the cars you listed are great....but it's just hard to run a great GT Mode series when there's still a lot that can be done to the cars. I could understand if they were touring cars, however. See my point?

On the other hand, the questions were well welcomed. :)

right. thanks for the reply.
if the tracks are right, based on your current car listing, i'd pick either the nardo or the zonda because:
gt - impossible car to drive
nsx - weird gearbox
cien - same and too nervous
rufs - far too tailhappy
shelby - strange weight distribution
jag - unpredictable behaviour

the kaira and saleen would be my other choices.

I personally am picking the Saleen S7 for its good handling/ tire wear choices. It's good to see you have your preferences as well.

I personally think that the

Ford GT - Brilliant, with a quirky character

NSX - Semi-slow gearbox, yes, but with a downforce package. Think the Peugeot 905 versus all the other Group C's. ;)

Cien - Slow box with a good chassis and long gears to show its power, even if it is castrated to 605 hp.

Rufs - I'm not going to argue that they are tailhappy, save for the CTR2, but its understeer is leaving me for pause. I'm thinking of dropping it. The Yellowbird would best suit an enthusiast looking for a great challenge.

Technically, the British AC - Not going to dispute its musclecar strange weight distribution, but it's the same boat as the Yellowbird. Solely for the enthusiast. If you can make it work, go for it.

Jag - Not sure of this unpredictable behaviour that you speak of.. It was always a competent supercar in my hands and never presented problems. To each their own, indeed.

Exactly the discussion I'm looking for. ;)👍 Thank you for the interest.

Track list might be up tomorrow night. Dependent entirely upon if I can get to the computer after work.. I'll see what I can do. ;)

Hey Jetboy, I'm in.. Only if you keep the CTR2. That car is a monster and I love the randomness of it, espcially when you deck it out to 900bhp and hitting the long back straight at Sarthe at 412km/h.. You don't know which way it'll spin, I love that in a car... Call me mad, but hey they strap me down at night ;) ..

You want it waynz? It's all yours. ;) To Jose.... I'd really like to hold form overlapping cars.. Just like in HRT, I want to wait until I get maybe 50-75% of them filled before signing out doubles. If you really want the Saleen, I'll see what shakes down in a few days or so. If you don't mind the GT that much, I'd prefer you take it. ;)

I've got an interest, and this time I should actually be able to bring myself to bother with it.

Just a question on the AI, how competive is it going to be, and what are going to be the rules on contact with them...

And I've got my car picked out, I think. The RUF Yellowbird (yes, I am crazy about tail happy cars), my second choice would probably the NSX, but I haven't driven that version. So RUF Yellow, unless the CTR2 is RWD and not AWD... I can't remember that either.

Wow, I can't seem to remember much at all, YAY!

To Azureman: The CTR2 is indeed a very under-steery AWD. If you want to see an example of hos this all shakes out, there's a preliminary run just underway in this part of the forum. ;) It's good to see you race man. I'll mark you for the Yellowbird.

To Jose: Gotcha. ;)
