The rules are:

1. Physics must be set to professional (ask if you don't know how to do this)
2. ASM must be turned OFF
3. Traction control is OPTIONAL
4. Make sure you use the same type of tire on front and back.
5. Do not use other cars to gain an advantage.
6. Keep 2 tires on surface at all times
7. List what tire compound you used

There will be a leaderboard for each car/tire combination

By not allowing the remaining tyre compounds, do you not think that it makes this an incomplete GT5:P Demo Suzuka Leaderboard?

Nothing great but it may start things off:

Mitsubishi LANCER Evolution X

R2

2'20.668

D-Pad & buttons :)

EVOLUTION X
DFP + cockpit view
R2
2'20.322

Room for improvement as I'm sure there is room for improvement on your lap. I'm trying to get use to the new physics. Brake while turning and you will slide the front tires

After two races

EVOLUTION X
DFP/cockpit/R2 tires

2'20.025

One of my splits were 1'01.5xx. I'm kind of dissappinted I didn't break into the 19s because my .322 lap was 1'01.9xx at the same split

Thankfully in the full version of GT5:P we will be able to share replays 👍

A few laps last night in the BMW with R3 tyres

Lap 1 was a 2'20.xxx with a couple of tiny AI touches and lap 2 was a 2'15.144 totally clean and without a doubt there's loads left for sure and can see a low 2'11 or thereabouts with a decent fast lap in the Beemer 👍

I used DS2 and kiddy view for the race above .. will make a video when i get a few seconds faster :) The BMW is my fave car of the ones available ;)

thanks for the link, mate. 👍
here are my best laps so far. all aids off, pro physics, using sixaxis (i really should get a wheel).

NEW UPDATE!!!

Nissan GT-R

2:09.221s

R3's

ps: Earth, you should have the car's names in a different colour, so it's easier to see where each is on the list. Currently it's slightly confusing because the tires are also in black and bold. 👍

Sorry for double posting, but my previous was getting clogged with updates.
Plus, I want to say thanks for following my advice and even going beyond that with the shots. 👍
I'd make some cool banners for this (if you wanted to, of course) but my PC crashed badly last week and that's where Photoshop is. :D
Been posting from PS3 since then.

Anyway...

BMW

2:21.603s

R2's

i'm just posting to subscribe. i was running 2'20.xxx's in the EVO X last night. I'll have photo proof later today.

I ran a 2:09.563 with the Black Mask GTR, R3 tires, stability & traction control off, Pro setting, AT & DFP wheel.

That bettered the 2:11.223 that is currently listed.

It's amazing how long it took to get this in Pro mode when with the amateur mode on I can run 2:06.xxx easy.

STi

2:26.522s with S2's

That 2:25.4xx will be tough to beat (at least by me)

UPDATE!!!

MAZDA

2:42.011s

S2´s

Since no one else asked I guess I will:

How DO you get into "Pro mode." ??:dunce:

When you hit the race button an option screen comes up, it's the second option in the second box if I remember right, see the English translation thread to be sure.

Lexus

2:14.621s

R3's

(couldn't drive this car with the sixaxis on S tires to save my life...)

I ran a 2'57.7 on S2 tires in the Daihatsu OFC-1 but the lap wasn't clean. .. Got all 4 tires on the rumble strips in the chicane

Fun car to drive, the esses are easily taken at full throttle even with S2 tires

Mitsubishi EVO X: 2'19'719 on R3's. I tapped the guy in 5th on the bumper when he broke right in front of me, but no other contact was made during the race. I can post a video if necessary, but I don't know how I'd take a pic other than in race for individual lap times.

Hi East nice to have a comparison for these so soon 👍 .. you must have missed my post 10 time in the BMW as I dont see myself on your Leaderboard?

I will be back with a lap time in the GTR later as I ran a lap 2 of 2'02.8 with R3 tyres last night with a small off at the 130R so a clean 2'01 is pheasable with a decent lap

Wow, I thought we were using WRS rules here, I've been considering rumble strips as part of the track... :dunce:

If that's not allowed, I'll have to review all my laps.

Rumble strips are part of the track, on my particular lap I just didn't feel it was clean through the chicane, I didn't bother to check because I felt I could do much better. So as long as you kept at least 2 tires on the rumblestrip you're fine 👍

To try and put everybody on the same page the rules for this leaderboard are you must use professional physics and the same tire compound on both the front and back tires. Does your 2'02.800 lap follow those rules? It's kind of hard to believe you're 5 seconds faster then everyone else using the same rules.

My apologies East I missed the professional mode only part :dunce: my laps were done in the easier to drive mode simply as I was oblivious to that ruling :dopey: ... I wondered why I was so fast lmao  :sly:

ah well back to the drawing board I guess 👍

Don't forget my Daihatsu lap on post #22, buddy.

New laptimes:

STi

2:31.269s - N3's

2:20.523s - R3's

I can't give you +rep for this thread until I spread it some more...
