Thread rules:
The following information cannot be discussed in this thread (they can, however, be discussed on MSN or via other private conversation methods):

  • lap time
  • Any information which can be used to infer laptime

The following information can be discussed in this thread :

  • T1 and T2 times
  • Any settings discussion.

Viewing your T1 & T2 Lap Time Splits:

You need to make sure you save the 'Save Best Lap Replay' (ghost replay), not the 'Save Replay'.
To view your best lap replay, go to 'My Page' and watch the replay from there using the 'Replay' option.

Submission:

All submissions must be sent by PM (Subject title: GTP_WRS Week 05 Submission ) to (Sphinx):

  • you can submit only once
  • please include in your submission PM your division, GTP_Tag and final lap time
  • the deadline is Monday 8 December 11.59pm GMT
  • if you are unsure of the deadline try this site

Why Use GMT?:
GMT is World Time and the basis of every world time zone which sets the time of day and is at the centre of the time zone map. GMT sets current time or official time around the globe. Most time changes are measured by GMT. Although GMT has been replaced by atomic time (UTC) it is still widely regarded as the correct time for every international time zone.
Time verification:

Save your ghost replay and keep it at least a full two weeks after the event's deadline:

  • Racers ,named by the OLR Admin staff, (if any) will be required to submit a replay for verification
  • any submitted time is subject to a time verification request
  • when a time verification has been requested, the concerned racer must provide the correct replay within seven days of the request
  • failure to do so will result in the removal of the unverified submission from the results table
  • video replays are not accepted as a form of verification

Good luck,
OLR Admin Team

Thats kinda screwed up my best lap time.. because i have already set a lap time using the pavement part of the track.. i cant now save best lap replay.. because its slower than the original time i've set

Saving best laps shouldn't be a problem.

Go to the main menu and enter the arcade time trail again.

I can see your best lap time on the online rankings, Doh. You should be offline for this one. :ouch:

New leaderboard initiated. Good luck to all this week & happy racing 👍

First attempt:

T1: 30.028 (seen a 29.7xx)
T2: 51.207

edit> board updated

Believe it or not but I try to be competitive this week.

At least I hope I can get close to the div.upper half :sly:

First small session.

30.075
51.271

Board updated ... this week the theme of the board will be 'close finish'

My first splits are still in the 31.x and 53.x range so I'll work on it a while to come up with something decent :embarrassed::
Any suggestions to a poor sixaxis user how to negotiate those long curves?

EDIT board updated up to post 24.

First splits:

30.516
52.684

Lots of corners to work on ... and so little time :(

Fun and fast combo 👍

I'm pretty sure we will be all very close on this one :sly:

T1 : 29.694
T2 : 50.747

:sly:

First session:-

T1 29.823
T2 51.193

Think everyone will be close this week, every tenth will count!

T1 30.237 (Not a definite, but I'm pretty sure it was that, definitely 30.2xx if not)
T2 52.122

Just getting a grip for the track and car. I've been rough through turns 2,3 and 4, thus the poor time.

First clean lap saved.
T1: 30.335
T2: 52.018

I wasn't expecting to be that close to everyone else on my first try.

T1: 30.123
T2: 51.660

Would have been much better at T2 if I didn't do a powerslide through the right hander after T1.

Is anyone else finding 3rd to be a bit short and 4th a bit long for the exit of the left heading into the tunnel? I can get into 4th on the short straight between the right and the left but then quickly back down into 3rd and the if I get the apex and exit of the left turn I can go right back into 4th just as I unwind. That only happens if I get those perfect. I think the faster drivers would have more of a problem... or they are so fast they can use 4th for the corner. Would be nice to be able to adjust the gears for those corners.

Times so far

T1 29.837
T2 51.177

Also I just want to clarify when going thru the tunnel, whether the course boundary is the tunnel wall or the white line ?
