Submission:

All submissions must be sent by PM (Subject title: GTP_WRS Week 11 Submission ) to (Sphinx):

  • you can submit only once
  • please include in your submission PM your division, GTP_Tag and final lap time
  • the deadline is Monday 19 January 11:59pm GMT
  • if you are unsure of the deadline try this site

Why Use GMT?:
GMT is World Time and the basis of every world time zone which sets the time of day and is at the centre of the time zone map. GMT sets current time or official time around the globe. Most time changes are measured by GMT. Although GMT has been replaced by atomic time (UTC) it is still widely regarded as the correct time for every international time zone.
Time verification:

Save your ghost replay and keep it at least a full two weeks after the event's deadline:

  • Racers, named by the OLR Admin staff, (if any) will be required to submit a replay for verification
  • any submitted time is subject to a time verification request
  • when a time verification has been requested, the concerned racer must provide the correct replay within seven days of the request
  • failure to do so will result in the removal of the unverified submission from the results table
  • video replays are not accepted as a form of verification

Good luck,
OLR Admin Team

Awesome stuff! I should be able to concentrate on the WRS more now that the IFTC is finished.

It's good that it is a time trial because I can't tune.

Can't wait to try this:tup:

Im really glad its a one lap TT, after last weeks 2 lapper and my lack of being able to string two decent laps together. 👍

My first go:

T1: 24.909
T2: 40.228

On my replay it doesnt show my name, it just put -- where my name should be, is that supposed to happen

it's cause you're doing it offline

My Splits:
T1: 25.136
T2: 40.428

T1: 24.860
T2: 40.083

after doing enough laps to learn the track backwards my first try times are

T1: 25.489
T2: 41.332

Hey Sjaak....and the rest of you guys.
Good to see the WRS is still going.
I might try to get a few times in when I can.

T1 24.576
T2 40.011

Really nice car to drive if you're gentle with it.

Just had a few laps in it, got 15th on the board but I'm not happy with it, might have been a bit of contact too so I'm not posting splits. Its a great combo feels very claustrophobic, big car narrow roads. I doubt I will have the time to put in a time again this week, exams these next few weeks.

RTFM I'd say: Your run must be done while being OFF LINE

Trying out London using the wheel :banghead: still have to spend LOTS of time practicing 'cos all I do is hit every wall in the City and ending up backwards ... might have to stick to the controller for this one :(

Anyway, nice challenge again Sjaak 👍

Yep I'm going to dis-able my router if I am to do anymore today.

New with a wheel?

Keep trying, its becomes easy getting round without contact after a while, my first few laps closely resembled pinball.

Every combo made for the WRS has a meaning,or an effort to have a meaning.(Personal taste is a major factor)

The car must suit the track and for this week I was looking for a 4WD.
But I believe the Nissan is stock on 30/70,(in race RA functions)
so it feels much like a RWD.
I tested the Mits IX and cornering was far more worse.

And it is true, the GT-R is a fast car for such a narrow track but much is compensated by the good handling.

I could have chosen a Suzuki Swift or something close to that.
Even slow cars ,pushed to the limit have the same irritation level for hits as a fast car.
But the Nissan on London is a nice surprise.:)

I am sure the racers of the WRS can cope with it.

Learn the track by not pushing to hard in the beginning,of course you will hit barriers.
Luckily it is a short round so many opportunities to get a clean lap in.

So, good luck :D

Cool event ... first session and I'm down to a clean 24.0 / 38.7 .. early braking and half revs is definitely your friend on this combo for sure :) I'll be back as this one is great fun to drive and I expect people will close in on the 37's at T2 when they get to grips with it

I just had a few laps too, and your right Ron, early braking for sure in this one.

T1, 0'24.035
T2, 0'38.959

Early day's. :sly:

Eyes out on stalks and back end all over the place! Perhaps traction control would help or maybe I'm being too aggressive!

Ok, it took me about 4 laps to find the meaning of this weeks race and I'm going with "Don't put walls so close to the edges of the track." Did I win, Did I win?

Yikes on this one - my first time ever spending time on London (in either direction) and fairly new to the GT-R.

Good Luck everyone!

Yeah.. little pinball at start. :)

T1: 24.281
T2: 39.308

Good luck everyone. 👍

New leaderboard is now available.

From now on I am including the usernames of contestants in the board, following the GTP tags in brackets (). Please let me know if you feel this is a good addition to the board. I myself sometimes struggle to identify GTP players of which there is a significant difference between both names.

The thing I learnt from the IFTC round in London (following Dan's ghost for 100's of laps) is you need to brake early and turn in smoothly. It's beter to sacrifice a bit of turn in speed but be able to get back on the gas earlier.

I might not get time to do this race or the next one since i'm going on holidays for about 2 weeks. I'll try to but I can't gurantee it.

Sorry guys.

Gave this a few laps using PSN ID

and got:

T1 24.791
T2 40.007
