Steward's Comments:

This week saw our best participation since I started tabulating results, with 43 submitted times. 👍

Some very, very tight contests this week! :scared:

Congrats to all the class winners!

Cheers,

OLR Team.

Important notice:
To streamline the WRS administration process, all required replays for this race must be submitted within 7 days. This thread will be listed as "Unofficial" and will become "Official" once all posted replays have been verified. After 7 days, all drivers who fail to provide a requested replay will have their lap disqualified. (Beware, disqualification isn't taken lightly within the WRS)

Replay Verification Requests:
This week we would like to see all podium replays for verification. All replays are to be posted here.

Replay Checking:

  1. It is customary for all participants of the WRS to verify each others submitted replays
  2. Once you have checked the replay, post in this thread to say that you have checked it and whether it's clean, dirty or doesn't meet the required race specifications
  3. When verifying a replay, check against this weeks race specification, check that the tyres are the correct compound and that the power and weight is correct for example
  4. If you are unsure about a replay, always seek a second opinion before posting

What amazingly tight race!
Congratulations all podiumers, and special mentioning to all sub '17 secs. Was really a border of somekind. Good job going under that! 👍 👍

Here's my replay. There is also the replay to my 1'16.679 lap, and would love to hear an unofficial opinion if it would have been deemed clean or not? But not a big deal, and not worth spending much time on it as it's very close. Just was VERY tempting to submit it. :scared: :dopey: :ouch:

Congrats to all podiums. 👍

I actually thought I did a really good final corner but it was apparently far from perfect since Maz (to just grab a name) managed to do it 13/100 quicker. :scared:

In the end it turned out I had real difficulties in stringing a whole good lap together. I had a 1.16.894 with just a tiny tap in turn 2(!) and several 16.9 with some taps in the last turn but I guess that's the same as everyone else.

As Timo said, Grats to all drivers who broke into the 16's. 👍

Very nice to see Lars and Samantha get a podium also. Good work.

Congrats to all podiums. :) And to Vaxen for posting the unofficial results extremely fast. 👍

Big congratulations to everyone 👍 this week.
Hard to believe I actually made a podium :dopey:

Div 2 is so strong right now, it is really an honour
to have finished in the top three in the division this week.
I am going to try and enjoy this one as much
as I can--I know it may not happen again any time soon

Congratulations to all the other podiums as well--GTP_Samantha
in particular 👍

Dan, you are one lucky guy. I wish I could find a lady friend that liked to play GT5P,
and could drive as well as Samantha--that's a really good lap

Really awesome times by Timppaq and Stotty (thanks again for sharing the A.R.S.E tune Stotty) 👍

The competition was so tight this week (especially Div 2 :scared:). I'm glad I went back and had another session Sunday night :) before submitting.

Alright, I'm shutting up now :)

*Still beside myself, can't believe I made a podium, that's awesome*

Here is my PAL replay:

Congratulations to all the winners and podium placers

Well done to Timo, Chris and Ron - proper Div 1 performances. 👍

Animera and Carl - div 1 performances also. :)

Crispy74 - almost a podium on your first week. 👍

Samantha - you should do this more often, and keep the boys on their toes. :)

Awsome participation this week. Great effort to all who chased tenths and hundredths, it made the difference to for some this week.👍

I think i'll do things a little different and congratulate everybody who took part, of course special congratulations are in order for the Winners and Podiumers. Thanks for making it a throughly enjoyable first week of the WRS for me, now on to London we go. :nervous:

Wow! This is as close as it gets. Well done everyone.

As always, if there are any podium winners who have the downloaded PAL version I can check them all.

Congratulations podium finishers, I never could figure out T1 evidently.:dunce: I see you 8 thousandths ahead of me ASH.:sly:

I know, :sly: my last run took me from 14th and last in the division upto 10th, I gained about two tenths. If you get your new wheel in time, London will be a different story, I have run so few laps there and then the car is not as easy to drive, i'll give it a shot though.

I don't think I've ever done a full lap of London Reverse in my life :scared:, so the playing field is level.:sly:

As always congratulations to all the podiums... except Timo for pipping me right at the end ;)

I know HSR isn't normally everyones favorite track, but for events of this type I think it works brilliantly as it creates such fantastically close results and encourages chasing that last fraction of a second like no other track does.

Amazing turn out too 👍

Agreed Stotty, a great turn-out, especially in Div.4.👍

Sorry Chris.. but couldn't let you get away with it. :D Great splits you had there

Heh... when I saw the .385 pop up at T2 I was a bit nervous of bining the lap in the final turn so ran it very conservatively.

I'm looking forward to watching your wonder lap... I know my T1 wasn't optimum as I ran some .67's, but I really can't comprehend how you could take almost half a tenth out of me in T2 as I was sure mine was pretty much perfect.

As always, shows how you D1 gold drivers are on another level from the rest of us.

12--1'17.062---GTP_Synwraith
13--1'17.068---GTP_Manuelos
14--1'17.069---GTP_CICO

That is just insane!!

What an utterly brilliant turnout for WRS 27! High Speed Ring does create some super close results but the best part is that these results come from splits that were slightly more spread out. Some people ran 17.0s off a T2 of 53.4 and I ran it off a T2 of 53.6.

A special mention to CarlPKY and Animera for getting into the 16s, Timo is absolutely right in saying that was a very significant barrier. Like Cohiba, I ran about three 1'16s only to notice invisiwall touches in the last corner. Very disappointing but with such close results it's really not that bad for me.

Well done to EDK for such well-informed promotions as we can see Phil is certainly nowhere near out of his depth in D2, and I'm sure we'll see him rise up through D2 very soon!

I feel for Chris, he lead the line all week with his incredible splits and then Timo, being the alien we know him to be, produces a faster lap. Hard luck for Stotty but well done again to GTP's finest 👍

Adamski! Well done for winning D3, finally some glory for the T&L guys  Come on Kev, get this guy outta D3 already!

Great job to Nuclearfire for once again winning D4, and to Sam and Lars for podiums. I believe Sam had some expert tuition this week

Brilliant debut performances from CICO and ASH32, just goes to show how difficult it is to come out on top of D2 these days with the competition being so fierce and close, Fuzzy killed us all last week but this week not among the fastest in D2. So even greater congratulations are due to Animera for consistently being at the top of D2. That's his second D2 win in 3 weeks.

Carl, you finally got me, well done bro ;)

EDIT: Can I also just say, I thought it was quite a shame that some top guys decided to opt out this week simply because of the fact that a tune was required. As you can clearly see from the results, they are hardly topsy-turvy are they? Timo, Mr P, Stotty were top of D1, Animera, Matt and Aussienicko were top of D2, Nuclearfire won D4 etc. There were 2 superb tunes available to everyone and posted in the thread, which all members happily walked in and used and the times were outstandingly close. The reason that Timo, Chris, Ron, Ian, Matt and Nick ended up again above the rest is because they are better drivers at this point in time just as they have been in previous WRS weeks. This week's results were absolutely not simply determined by tuning. Of course taking part is not mandatory, but turning your back on the event was slightly harsh I think. A massive thumbs up to those who took part 👍

All the best
Maz

Very close results indeed, well done people. And Maz, thanks for letting me beat you by a whopping 1/1000th sec. :sly:

Wow, great turn out, very close times. As others have said, HSR is good for events like this, preferably with the less powerful cars.

What an excellent turn out and with so many close finishes it makes the weeks effort all worth while! ... way to go guys 👍

Congrats to the division winners and podium finishers as always for taking the glory in some very hard fought divisions ... ( Timo, Chris, Animera, CarlPKY, Aussienicko, Tzayad, Mav3rick, Kenny, NuclearFire, DutchCustoms and a special mention to the only lady in the field Samantha who done a great lap and very much deserved a podium for her efforts ) Well done!

Gotta mention I was pipped to the line yet again by 2 D2 racers in the overall listing for this event and you guys really do need a promotion to D1 :sly: Well done you 2 (especially Animera who keeps kicking my butt :dopey: )
Thanks to Chris and Paulie for posting the tunes for this week which saved us all a heap of work tweaking about ... Respect guys! 👍

A very memorable week indeed and to make it even more memorable for some poor sod then here is my 12 lap session replay for verification, lap 11 is the fastest lap in the session with a wall touch at the end turn, but my submitted lap is lap 12. I suggest whoever takes it on should just load it up and go make a cuppa while it runs through the early laps to make things easier ;)

Cheers guys, thoroughly enjoyed this one :)
Regards
Ron.

I had to look twice also and then settled on "Laugh out F'in Loud" :P

Then again I'm not too smart with all the abbreviated interweb lingo

edit: Chris beat me to it 👍

Congrats to all podiums. 👍 Some very impressive lap times at the top. Thank you very much for the kind words guys. I enjoyed this combo a lot. Here is my replay.
