Save your replay and keep it at least a full two weeks after the event's deadline:

  • Racers ,named by the OLR Admin staff, (if any) will be required to submit a replay for verification

  • when a time verification has been requested, the concerned racer must provide the correct replay within seven days of the request
  • failure to do so will result in the removal of the unverified submission from the results table
  • video replays are not accepted as a form of verification

Good luck,
OLR Admin Team

Had a go this afternoon, took me ages to string 3 clean laps together :dunce:

I've just submitted my time. I took about an hour and a half to perfect it. It was the first time I drove this baby. It was way different than what I'm used to drive (Corvette, Viper) but fun nonetheless. I did 1'19,060 in practice and I've never beated it when I did my three laps.
Best lap: 1'19,275 (3rd one)
Anyway it was a fun combo and I can't wait to see the results.👍

BTW It's my first event and not the last.:)

EDIT : I didn't see the deadline. Next time I will post my time later.:ouch:

From my point of view:

Good = Golf GTi, my first car!
Good = No tuning, which I can't do
Good = An interesting format
Not so great = Eiger is my worst track hands down.

But should be good fun, thanks sjaak :-)

Any particular reason why we can do this one online? (or why normally we can't?)

Because it's 3 laps, not 1
+ because we can discus our best lap time

Manuelos is right,

This week we race online because we are allowed to discus only the fastest laptime of a 3 lapper.

Normaly when we do a time trail in arcade it is offline so the laptimes won't show in the online rankings which spoiled the posting of the results.

The WRS has chosen for a format to keep the final submissions times secret till the results are posted.

Exactly the kind of race event i've been waiting for, awesome! Especially being offline, which makes my life so much easier right now.
EDIT: First run best lap - 1:18.742

New EDIT - 1:18.583

-6- Use your lap times from your right upper corner, best and last laptime.
I take it has been noticed that the big time posted every time you complete a lap is a few tenths faster than the upper right hand corner time?

Makes sense. I'll give this a try after lunch.

Oh dear, best I've managed is 1'21.937, thats awful! I find it really difficult to stay away from those barriers for three laps. On the plus side though, this combo is brilliant for making me practise a track I don't like and drive sensibly, rather than a one shot hot lap where I can restart when I make a mistake. Thanks and I'll keep working on it this week!

First clean run - didn't push too hard and plan to have another go later in week. My aim was to get 3 sub-1'19 laps, and I got one, so I know it's possible (morale boost!)

Best Lap:1'18.936

Loving the combo more than expected.

Out of interest, does anyone shift into 1st in the hairpins?

And also, am I the only one who stays in 4th through the fast left before the tunnel?

I stay in 4th before the tunnel too, kept scratching the barrier in 5th. Not thought about 1st for the hairpins, usually try second but given you are 3s a lap quicker than me, I might give it a go!

got my best down to 1'19.931 now

I use 2nd in hairpins, I meant does anyone do differently?

Glad to see you're improving.

I don't like Eiger really but its quite enjoyable this combo.Like Chris said a good target for me is three laps under 1.19.After first session best lap is 1.18.925, but it wasn't the best so more to come I hope.

I use 2nd for hairpins and stay in 4th before the tunnel aswell.

Right, should be back for this (though it is EIGER!), love the car though.

What a frustrating combo, every time I hit a good lap, I tap the barrier or do something stupid on the next lap!

1:18.473
4th before tunnel, 2nd in hairpins - no question. keep your momentum, and it pays about .2

I gotta ask
My aim was to get 3 sub-1'18 laps and I got one
Best Lap:1'18.936
Did you mean sub 1:19, or did you run a 1:17.936?

EDIT: Where'd the fast guys go?

Steven, do you want T1 and T2 splits for our fastest laps as this is a 3 lap time trial? I think we've all just been posting our fastest laps of the 3.

Why does that happen? Which time do we use?

'Bout time, D3 has missed you.

No splits this week, only fastest race lap.
Why does that happen? Which time do we use?
Game glitch? not in Gran Turismo.
Just use the times displayed in the upper right corner of the HUD.
I'm not sure I caught the last lap correctly, as it passes very quickly.
I must have missed the total race time also.

Fastest lap.

1'18.434

OK, I'm not sure if this is classed as off topic but in arcade mode doing time trials how do you change between online and offline for the different events?

Thanks

Simon

EDIT: Where'd the fast guys go?

Typo, sorry, was thinking about 1'18 in my head and wrote that...

edited now.

I presume to get total time we have to add up the three lap times ourselves?

Just hit the PSN button, then in the XMB sign off and hit the button again to return to the game.

...

Board initialised.

No splits this week my friends, just post your fastest lap.

Tho I haven't check this, I think if you retrieve your replay the total time for the three laps is displayed in the menu screen, but I can be wrong.

Board initialised.
Far as I can see, we gotta add. I can't find a total time, it doesn't keep it during the replay even.

Yes, you have to add them yourself and don't forget when adding there is only 60 sec in a minute not 100. Sounds a bit obvious ,but a few have added them up and come up with a time that is impossible:D

Example:
1'27.000
1'20.000
1'19.500=4'06.500 not 3'66.500

Fastest lap in my first 3 lap stint.

1:18.216

Having to do 3 laps does add quite a bit of nervousness, especially in the 3rd lap.
Good one Sjaak 👍

New run, quicker overall, but no great laps (amazingly consistent)

1'19.010 (slower than before but the run was faster overall)

I'm sure I can improve on this though....
