Steward's Comments:

We're trying something a little bit different this week, it should be really exciting. I've had representative drivers from each division test these cars. In theory, any driver from any division should have a chance at winning this week!! 👍

Race Specifics
:

  • Your run must be done while being OFF LINE
  • The use of the clutch is prohibited

Standard Clean OLR Rules:

  • 2 wheels on (or vertically in line with) the track at all times
  • Rumble/ripple strips are part of the track
  • No contact with walls or objects, visible or invisible
  • If you're not 100% sure that your lap is clean, then consider it dirty
  • No hybrids
  • No cheating of any kind, these are relaxed races and we are experienced racers, we know what times can be done, and we can read your mind. We will know.
  • Nothing that goes against the spirit of the rules
  • Save your replay

Thread rules:

The following information cannot be discussed in this thread (they can, however, be discussed on MSN or via other private conversation methods):

  • Lap time
  • Any information which can be used to infer laptime

The following information can be discussed in this thread :

  • T1 and T2 times
  • Any settings discussion.

Viewing your T1 & T2 Lap Time Splits:

You need to make sure you save the 'Save Best Lap Replay' (ghost replay), not the 'Save Replay'.
To view your best lap replay, go to 'My Page' and watch the replay from there using the 'Replay' option.

Submission:

All submissions must be sent by PM (Subject title: GTP_WRS Week 51 Submission ) to (Vaxen):

  • Please submit your time in the following format on a single line:
    [Division#]---M'SS.XXX---GTP_Tag
    (Example-) [division 2]---1'44.678---GTP_EDK
  • You can submit only once
  • Please include in your submission PM your division, GTP_Tag, Full name of the Car you used, and final lap time
  • The deadline is Monday, October 26th 11:59 pm GMT
  • If you are unsure of the deadline try this site

Why Use GMT?:
GMT is World Time and the basis of every world time zone which sets the time of day and is at the centre of the time zone map. GMT sets current time or official time around the globe. Most time changes are measured by GMT. Although GMT has been replaced by atomic time (UTC) it is still widely regarded as the correct time for every international time zone.

Time verification:

Save your ghost replay and keep it at least a full two weeks after the event's deadline:

  • Racers, named by the OLR Admin staff, (if any) will be required to submit a replay for verification
  • Any submitted time is subject to a time verification request
  • When a time verification has been requested, the concerned racer must provide the correct replay within seven days of the request
  • Failure to do so will result in the removal of the unverified submission from the results table
  • Video replays are not accepted as a form of verification

Good luck :gtpflag:

Well done Kevin 👍 good way to start your WRS stewardship.
I hope for many of these fine combos in the coming months to overcome the long wait for the full game, so that WRS will stay lively and competitive.

Liking the look of this!:dopey: I won't even bother pointing out that the Focus ST has no American design in it or even get sold in America.:sly: (It's got a 4 door version sold in Australia though.;)) I'd rather be in any one of the other division's cars too as opposed to the Mini.:lol: Let's do this!

Splits so far, quite close to my limit already, although I feel there is a tenth maybe to grab overall, it's not going to be easy. :scared:

22.700
40.836

Well thats me back after a short break away with loads going on, good and bad! Had my hols, went to Monaco and got loads of snaps of cars in Casino Square, mainly farrari's. Seen my friend helicoptered to hospital after a major mountian bike crash, he lost third of his blood and I was the only one there! I even had time to get a lesson at Knockhill race circuit (Scotland) in a nice Seat Leon Cupra. I'm now hooked and can see that getting expensive!

Splits

T1: 22.704
T2: 41.175

Oddly enough, the Mini at Suz East is part of the Race of Decades this round (but its a tunable race setup), but I have to agree with Paulie here. What exactly are you inferring by sticking us Div 2 folks in Mini's?

Well, Mr. Ford was an American. ;)

What exactly are you inferring by sticking us Div 2 folks in Mini's?

Remember, I'm a D2 driver as well. :sly:

Surely some mistake, 2nd on the board and a faster T1 than Holland  I'm betting that won't last long!

Interesting...eek. I like the setup. Certainly a change of pace. Nothing like slow, ill handling street cars to drive on a Japanese circuit.

First:

Bad run off of Final Turn =

T1: 22.934
T2: 41.300

I have taken the racing line away from myself. Plus disabled the ghost. I want to be a better driver.

Chad

First Splits :

T1: 22.872
T2: 41.412

It's been almost a month since I last played GT5P and my last WRS submission is from 2 months ago. It's pretty different (In a good way) from what I used to play during the last month, I was playing shift.

Now it's back to GT5P and the WRS. 👍

I thought the mini on S1's wouldnt be so fun but it is. I can see this being addictive like London

Yeah,

S2 tires would make me 1s faster !
I know, I did my first run with S2 before realising it was S1 required :ouch:
