Race Specifics:

This week we have a 2 Lapper in Online Arcade Mode Time-Trail, consistency will be key.

  • -1- Run 2 laps in Time Trail
  • -2- Exit the run when going in the 3rd lap
  • -3- Save your replay
  • -4- Watch your replay at "My Page" and write down the final time.
  • -5- Final time = lap 1 + lap 2
  • -6- Use your lap times from your right upper corner, best and last laptime.
  • Your run can be done while being ON LINE, using your GTP_tag.
  • The use of the clutch is prohibited
  • Red and White Rumble Strips are part of the track. Concrete, such as that found on the right hand side of the final turn on entry, is not part of the track. Beware of this track section, it has resulted in past DQ's

Standard Clean OLR Rules:

  • 2 wheels on (or vertically in line with) the track at all times
  • Rumble/ripple strips are part of the track
  • No contact with walls or objects, visible or invisible

Thread rules:

Maximum number of splits: 1

Fastest Lap Time from your best 2 lap run will be used for this week's leaderboard. The official leaderboard can be found at
http://wrs.gtplanet.net/. If you choose to discuss splits, please keep them in linear format, (xx.xxx/xx.xxx as opposed to on their own lines) in order to avoid confusing the FetchBot. ;)

Viewing your Final Race Time:

You need to make sure you save the 'Save Replay' , not the 'Save Best Lap Replay'.

To view your replay, go to 'My Page' and watch the replay from there using the 'Replay' option.

Submission:

All submissions must be sent by PM (Subject title: GTP_WRS Week 62 Submission ) to (Vaxen):

  • Please submit your time in the following format on a single line:
    [Division#]---M'SS.XXX---GTP_Tag
    (Example-) [division 2]---3'44.678---GTP_EDK
  • You can submit only once
  • Please include in your submission PM your division, GTP_Tag and final lap time
  • The deadline is Monday January 11th 11:59pm GMT
  • If you are unsure of the deadline try this site

Why Use GMT?:
GMT is World Time and the basis of every world time zone which sets the time of day and is at the centre of the time zone map. GMT sets current time or official time around the globe. Most time changes are measured by GMT. Although GMT has been replaced by atomic time (UTC) it is still widely regarded as the correct time for every international time zone.

Time verification:

Save your replay and keep it at least a full two weeks after the event's deadline:

  • Racers ,named by the OLR Admin staff, (if any) will be required to submit a replay for verification
  • Any submitted time is subject to a time verification request
  • When a time verification has been requested, the concerned racer must provide the correct replay within seven days of the request
  • Failure to do so will result in the removal of the unverified submission from the results table
  • Video replays are not accepted as a form of verification

Ohhh yes, I've been dying for another one of these. :D Mad get over here

I wonder if this week's title might have something to do with a certain automobile that will make somebody in CA a very happy puppy this month?

Nice one as usual Kevin 👍

EDIT I wonder if Kevin is also this and/or Edkrazy Baldhead? :)

Best lap in 2 lap series so far:

36.522

Takes a bit to get used to the F2007 again.

Insane is a good description of this week's car of choice :ouch:

10 laps gave a first 'quick' lap of

0'38.523

using AT (no time to think about gears) and TCS=1 to help me keep this thing anywhere near the tarmac.

Looks like I will be able to finds tenths in every corner just flowing thru the esses.

Insane, but nice challenge 👍

How the hell Daniel could have made a lap in 35.363 is beyond my comprehension.

What if:
What if your second lap is better than the first one?
In the upper right corner the last lap and the best lap are then the same.
Will that be a 'too bad for you, try again and make sure your second one will be slower?'

39.538

Just post your fastest lap out of the two that you saved. Write down both laptimes and add them up to submit by the end of the week 👍

If you want to learn how to be faster, download one of the top 10 laps from the PD board and watch them 1000 times ;)

I think this is the first time I've really driven this car in anger, as my first ventures in the F2007 quite a while back involved me spending a majority of the time inspecting the gravel traps!

However, fastest lap so far,

36.935

Fastest so Far
38.601 37.993 37.891

Having to stop every 2 laps is really killing the momentum

edit
37.41337.265

My current rig can't handle this right now.. these quick left to right corners causing it to 'walk'

My DFGT bounces so hard at the end of the straight that I have to reduce FF from 10 to 5 or my pulse will start to hurt ...

Best lap so far at

37.851

I'd do a load of laps in a row, until you are comfortable with the car. Then do 2-lap stints.

Same here Steven playing havoc with my hands :ouch: brought my FF down to 2.

Best for me so far is

37.040

You're not the only one Steven, my old DFP does that too!! Although the replay is quite amusing as it wobbles from side to side all the way down the straight

After another, wobbly 2 laps, I have a new fastest:

36.783

 I would have named this WTF1!!!!!

Might give it a try, not a huge fan of the F1 but well done to Kev for putting it together 👍

So we are allowed to run them online this week I assume?
I haven't hardly driven the F2007 yet, but I'll take Suzuka east, unlike full Suzuka. :D
