This week is all about trying to keep it out of the sand, hence the theme. :mischievous: This car sounds great, and it's a real handful to wrestle around Suzuka. Have fun. ;)

Viewing your T1 & T2 Lap Time Splits:

You need to make sure you save the 'Save Best Lap Replay' (ghost replay), not the 'Save Replay'.
To view your best lap replay, go to 'My Page' and watch the replay from there using the 'Replay' option.

Most time changes are measured by GMT. Although GMT has been replaced by atomic time (UTC) it is still widely regarded as the correct time for every international time zone.

Time verification:

Save your ghost replay and keep it at least a full two weeks after the event's deadline:

  • Racers, named by the OLR Admin staff, (if any) will be required to submit a replay for verification
  • Any submitted time is subject to a time verification request
  • When a time verification has been requested, the concerned racer must provide the correct replay within seven days of the request
  • Failure to do so will result in the removal of the unverified submission from the results table
  • Video replays are not accepted as a form of verification

👍 👍 👍 this car/track combo is great fun, will definately have to find some time to fit this weeks in :)

Some one deserves a hug!👍

Great choice of event. I hope the Div.1 guys share their set ups :sly:

Edit: reminder to us Brits - We are now on BST and NOT GMT therefore Monday submissions will now be 1am !!

I'll get them in first;

T1 - 54.973
T2 - 1'39.916

Hopefully, plenty more to come.

Dan.

Just by seeing the title I was sure we were going back to Daytona this week. Good thing we're not because I suck at daytona road.

Man even with R3's, this car is still a handful.

T1 - 0'55.381
T2 - 1'40.927

Edit - I changed my Forcefeed Back from 5 to 8 and I adjusted the Brake Balance and Camber just a little bit and made a huge difference. I am trying to catch you Div.1 Drivers but you guys keep pulling away T.T haha

Wow that's pretty cool, WRS times are always updated. Slow down Div.1 guys haha, you guys are wicked fast.

There is a setup at Lion's Den Performance, I think? Let me check.

Edit: Yep, here's an old tune of mine, may need shortening of the gears if you're not drafting.
Link

Edit 2: Please dis-regard the setup in there until I have a chance to change it.

Edit 3: OK that tune is now edited. Not sure about the front toe yet, a little more experimenting is required there, but the rest should be good.

Edit 4: Got my first splits, but the lap was a little sloppy in a couple of areas (as in slow, not dirty).:guilty:
T1- 54.117
T2- 1'38.573

I still want to maybe play with the toe angle a little bit on the front, but don't have time tonight.

A place to start.

T1: 0'54.978
T2: 1'39.808

T1: 0'54.785
T2: 1'39.694

Watching the replay back as one does, the car is wallowing all over the place as if riding on jelly, tires smoking, drifting a little wide mid corner :grumpy: So i think my tune is a bit rubbish to say the least.

Phillip.

First carefull splits, good first sector but some mistakes in the last half of the lap...:

T1:0'53.939
T2:1'38.604

More to come...I also have to get used a bit to the bumpercam,i've only raced this car online and allways use cockpit view there...very different!!...

spy.

I found your original tune to be very stable paulie so I'm leaving the suspension alone for now! I might try changing the gears like you say though. Hope to have some splits up soon.

New splits after 10 more laps, still not happy with especially the hairpin...:

T1:0'53.857
T2:1'38.407

No aly, thats me in the sand pit again :grumpy:

:D Phil ,Oh I wanted to ask you about something (I know not again :D)
I finally got my G25 today and after starring at the box for 5 hours I realized that I have no idea how to use it ,what the button configurations are and how to master it,So if you can kindly show me which threads to go to to get me started because as you might have noticed I am pretty much clewless when it comes to wheels :D.
P.S my only wheel was called rally something and I used it exactly 5 days then I gave up and never saw it again.:D
Thanks in advance Phil I know I am pretty annoying but you have been of great help to me 👍

I think Phillip has the DFGT. This thread has info on how to configure it https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=113197 it's very much plug and play though. Anyway man, get it out the box now, trust me, you may be slower (for a while, been 3 months and still not at my fastest) but you'll never wwant to go back!!!!

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh, what a lovely combo!
Read somewhere someone deserves a hug, agreed! :D
Now to explain the "aaaaaaaaa...rgh" part: Prob is I live in the 3rd world and internet is capped, so no online time trial for me til Thursday :(
But I'll seeya then :)

Thanks Andy, yes not posh here DFGT, Aly as Andy has said get it out the box and stick with it, many of our members will tell your the same. You maybe a couple of seconds off your pace in WRS but that dont matter, it will come back to you and some.

Have fun 👍

Phillip.

Ok thanks alot Andy and Phillip ,my first thoughts were  then when I started playing it turned to :scared::scared: but after 1 hour I am starting to get the hang of it but still need to get me a cockpit (or a desk chair). Finally what should I use for shifting
1)the flappy paddel
2)the H shifter
3)the subsquential gear (spelling)

Really appreciate the help Andy and Phillip ,you guys are awesome.👍

The flappy paddles are nice because you never have to remove your hands from the wheel. But its up to personal choice and what you feel comfortable with.

Man after my first lap im glad to have the time I have! The setup on my F40 feels fantastic after tweaking camber and gear times, and I can definetly improve on my first T1 and a bit more on T2, so here we go!

54.476 T1
1'38.426 T2

good luck guys ;)
