Submission:

All submissions must be sent by PM (Subject title: GTP_WRS Week 94 Submission ) to (Vaxen):

  • Please submit your time in the following format on a single line:
    [Division#]---M'SS.XXX---GTP_Tag
    (Example-) [division 2]---1'44.678---GTP_EDK

  • Please include in your submission PM your division, GTP_Tag and final lap time
  • The deadline is Monday August 23rd 11:59pm GMT

Most time changes are measured by GMT. Although GMT has been replaced by atomic time (UTC) it is still widely regarded as the correct time for every international time zone.

Time verification:

Save your ghost replay and keep it at least a full two weeks after the event's deadline:

  • Racers, named by the OLR Admin staff, (if any) will be required to submit a replay for verification
  • Any submitted time is subject to a time verification request
  • When a time verification has been requested, the concerned racer must provide the correct replay within seven days of the request
  • Failure to do so will result in the removal of the unverified submission from the results table
  • Video replays are not accepted as a form of verification

Good luck, :gtplanet:
OLR Team

I don't think I've ever used the Tamora (in any of the GTs)
I dont really use TVRs that much so this should be an interesting week for me :nervous:
I kinda prefer these Online races rather than the arcades because you can set the car up (though I'm useless at it)
Though the arcade races give a level playing field with no variables (like superior set up)

I guess I just kinda contradicted myself didnt I? :dunce:

Excellent, this looks like it could be fun. I wasnt going to bother playing GT tonight, but i think i will now. (After top gear of course.)

Made an initial run of 6 laps using the setup that was already on the car. Smoked the tires going into First Turn.

T1: 55.830
T2: 1'42.110

New Times
T1: 55.805
T2: 1'41.714

That will be it for me for now. Too much distractions to concentrate.

Splits from my best lap so far using a TLD tune:

54.471 54.430
1'39.661 1'39.575

Great combo EDK! 👍

I have another question. Does GT5P simulate tire heat? Is it best to run laps an succession to keep them up to tempature or is it OK to keep restarting at the S/F?

I don't think tire heat is simulated. Only thing that affects tire performance is dropping a wheel off the track.

First attempt:

T1 0'55.868

T2 1'42.335

Always room for improvement

Great. I forgot to save the game after I finished my run earlier so I lost the tune I had. It's a bit disappointing that the only way to save a tune is to force save the game, even after it autosaves.

New Splits
T1: 55.590
T2: 1'41.563

This seems correct - one thing I've noticed in the past though (especially at Suz) is if you go off the track and into a sandy area I could swear the sand sticks to the tires and when you come back on track it takes you a few hundred yards before the car actually starts performing like it did before it went off the track. Anyone else noticed this over the years?

It does that with every track. Even when you drop down to the flat at Daytona.

But we brits just love the sand.

Uhm, is a tuning-setup already available Or will it be a 'do it yourselve'?

Theres a TLD tune that you could start with, its tuned for Fuji though. No one else has done a Tamora so its pretty much a DIY tune this week.

Quick test on stock settings.
I love putting times in early :P I'm 2nd (not for long lol)

55.087
1'40.553

T1: 54.343
T2: 1'39.291

👍

All the best

Quick test on stock settings.

I did the same.. And boy is she a handful!! Undesteer oversteer, four wheel drifting in some places  haven't got a clue where to start tuning this one. Very complicated. Here's my installation lap splits anyway:

T1: 56.152
T2: 1'42.461

GTP_Synwraith

Fantastic splits Maz 👍

Not easy to take .284 out of Ian

Going to enjoy watching Ian and youself this week, let the battle commence.

Really? I found it was planted to the track. I had tonnes of grip. Maybe a slight bit of understeer in T1 but other than that it handled great.

Here goes, my first attempt at the WRS.

T1: 56.475
T2: 1'42.403

Much room for improvement, that's obvious.

edit:
TLD tuned

T1: 56.259
T2: 1'42.008

Its probably because I've been racing suzuka this week. In a properly planted car! Like, on rails mate! The TVR is a bit twitchy compared and you have to be a careful with the throttle pedal too. Then again I havent touched anything. Just widened my final gear so I wasn't bouncing off the limiter on the way round.

 Phillip and great splits Maz.
I doubt you'll see much of a battle this week Phillip, as Maz has made so much progress with his G25 that he is clearly D1 Gold standard now.

Slowly getting faster with this car. With it understeering and oversteering and 4 wheel drifting, it's hard to get a perfect lap in.

T1: 55.579
T2: 1'41.176

Had a faster T1 by about .4 on another lap but screwed the lap up going into Spoon, and then screwed it up even more in 130R. Probably lost over a second on that lap.

Hi there all, ive just introduced myself in the new members section and i am bit of a noob!

Question is, how are you guys doing setups already. Ive got the tvr and go to online but there isnt an option there for a suzuka time trial and in arcade mode time trial i am unable to tweak the pp.

thanks in advance.
