Steward's Comments:
We get to try our first MR this week, and it's really a pretty nice drive, especially for being on comfort soft tires. The stock paint and wheels were a little too boring for my taste, I think the car looks great in Hemi Orange Pearl. :D

Viewing your T1 & T2 Lap Time Splits:

  • You need to make sure you save the 'Save Best Lap Replay' (ghost replay), not the 'Save Replay'.

  • To view your best lap replay, go to 'My Home' and watch the replay from there using the 'Replay Theater' option.
  • While Viewing Your Replay, Choose the "Live Timing Monitor" To View Your Sector Times
  • To post your T1 and T2 Splits, simply post the sector times that are shown in the live timing monitor.
  • The WRS Fetchbot has been updated and will now add your splits together!

Submission:

All submissions must be sent by PM (Subject title: GTP_WRS Week 5 Submission ) to (WRSFetchbot):

  • Please submit your time in the following format on a single line:
    Time: X'XX.XXX
    (Example-) Time: 1'10.100
[*]Users can ask the bot for the current submitted time by sending a message with the body: "get entry"
[*]Users can delete their submitted time by sending a message with the body of "remove entry".
[*]If multiple times are submitted, only the last submission will be counted.
[*]Please include in your submission PM your final lap time
[*]The deadline is Monday, March 21st 11:59pm GMT
[*]If you are unsure of the deadline try this site. Beware of the US Daylight Savings Time Change, don't cut it too close.

Why Use GMT?:

GMT is World Time and the basis of every world time zone which sets the time of day and is at the centre of the time zone map. GMT sets current time or official time around the globe. Most time changes are measured by GMT. Although GMT has been replaced by atomic time (UTC) it is still widely regarded as the correct time for every international time zone.

Time verification:

Save your ghost replay and keep it at least a full two weeks after the event's deadline:

  • Racers, named by the OLR Admin staff, (if any) will be required to submit a replay for verification
  • Any submitted time is subject to a time verification request
  • When a time verification has been requested, the concerned racer must provide the correct replay within seven days of the request
  • Failure to do so will result in the removal of the unverified submission from the results table
  • Video replays are not accepted as a form of verification

Hey EDK (...and whomever governs the WRS Leaderboards!),

Noticed that the leaderboard is showing what looks like the Amuse S2000 GT1 Turbo as the car picture and the track layout also looks wrong, like London or one of the other street circuits.

Nice combo - looking forward to it :)

This looks like fun. Another great combo, Kevin. 👍
Team SMART is still racing, so we'll have to give this a go!!
Good luck, everyone.
RACE ON!! :gtpflag:

Thanks, Kevin. Can't wait to try it.

Does anyone know if you get the best possible result by doing every upgrade and then limiting the power, or is that unnecessary? I'd rather not spend that much money if it doesn't make a difference.

Hello Kevin, nice combo, I have two remarks:

Time trial event says Max. 197 BHP (I guess you got a typo above)
How are we protected against spying our time through friends leaderboards? (I don't really care cause I have only one GTP_Friend but other guys may have a lot)
Thx, it's gonna be another great week.

Is there a way to filter arcade cars I havn't found yet? Sucks to scroll through to find a specific car.

*Nevermind, just looked at it again and see this is not an arcade event. But this would be nice to know in the future.

Nice combo Kevin!

Looking forward to giving this a run after some food :)

Will be very interesting to play with the settings and get a decent tune!

I just bought one and it has 289bhp in stock form. Cant use is in this TT? Im slightly confused!!!

millross, I was thrown off by this at first too. Went to practice and used the engine power limit to tune it down first.

Thanks - We don't have the full database of cars and tracks built yet, Joost has to fix it.

Thanks, I fixed the HP thing. Basically, you're limited to what the event will allow, that goes for everyone.

On the GTP_Friend thing, you could go set a time in a faster car. Since the even allows weight as low as 800kg, this car won't show up on the main leaderboard, as I think you realize. Alternatively, you could enter the race then sign out of PSN. You'll still be able to cut laps, but your time won't upload to the leaderboard.

Yep, that's what you need to do. I did my best to explain it in the first post. I could give really specific directions, but then someone would ask me if they HAD to do it that way, or how we are going to verify, etc.

Bottom line - There's no easy way to verify the parts that are added, so we are allowing everything the game will allow. One nice thing is that you can't put turbo or SC on this car.

1 st attempt then.
T1 24.053
T2 23.756

Hmmmmm.... I've come across a problem :)

Just been and bought the car... Added every single option to it... Gone to limit the power and it won't go low enough!

Just to point it out so you'll have to choose your add ons wisely... I'm 26hp over the limit! :(

Take some parts off In the settings menu.👍

I'm in the same boat, decided to do without the ECU and exhaust manifold. Running on 50.1% power 👍

First session, not really done tuning yet:

T1: 23.828
T2: 23.829

I went for exhaust manifold and inlet manifold. Running on 50.7 I think. Liked the idea of extra torque to get me through the corners!

Well first splits.... Nothing special.... Just to get a time on the board!

T1: 24.367
T2: 24.600

Have seen 23.XxX in both.... Just dirty laps! :(

I love not having to go from Arcade to GT Mode to check replays...... it's the small things in life !!

T1: 24.285
T2: 24.067

Updated splits for tonight... Am loving this combo!

T1: 23.963
T2: 23.933

Have got T3 sorted so it's just working on T1 and T2! 👍

+1 on the fun. Really enjoyable combo. 👍

Bought all the parts but not tuned anything except the final gear ratio so far.

T1: 23.692
T2: 23.583

T1: 24.006
T2: 23.668

Still can't put together a complete lap, seen 23.7s in the first split and 23.4s in the second.

I have one question on this weeks combo: Can I do anything about the top speed or is it just the gear ratios?
