Steward's Comments:
The stage 3 engine upgrade is all this car needs. I think it's very well suited to the twisty SSR5 track. Race hard and Good Luck! 👍

Viewing your T1, T2 & T3 Lap Time Splits:

  • You need to make sure you save the 'Save Best Lap Replay' (ghost replay), not the 'Save Replay'

  • To view your best lap replay, go to 'My Home' and watch the replay from there using the 'Replay Theater' option.
  • While Viewing Your Replay, Choose the "Live Timing Monitor" To View Your Sector Times
  • To post your T1 and T2 Splits, simply post the sector times that are shown in the live timing monitor.
  • The WRS Fetchbot has been updated and will now add your splits together!

Most time changes are measured by GMT. Although GMT has been replaced by atomic time (UTC) it is still widely regarded as the correct time for every international time zone.

Time verification:

Save your ghost replay and keep it at least a full two weeks after the event's deadline:

  • Racers, named by the OLR Admin staff, (if any) will be required to submit a replay for verification

  • When a time verification has been requested, the concerned racer must provide the correct replay within seven days of the request
  • Failure to do so will result in the removal of the unverified submission from the results table

Good luck, :gtplanet:

Gaaah! I am absolutely hopeless at this track - nice one Jerome.

Is it time to face my fears...? Or run away crying? :dopey:

just done a couple of laps, spent most of the time at half throttle cos i was too scared to put my foot all the way down :scared:
think i'll need a bit of practice at this combo. cheers jump_ace

Jerome, I see you decided on R3 tires, I was hoping you'd go that way. I'm going to like this combo, my favorite city course, just have to be easy on the throttle out of the tight left hander on the brick section.

I'm off to practice, need to add stage 3 engine kit.

Go on then, I'll kick it off... 10 frenetic laps with stock setup, mostly with my eyes shut I think. :scared: Alot of tidying up to do.... to put it mildly.

27.575
20.999

Yay, top of the leaderboard for only the second time ever :dopey:

Lol, was just about to post mine to be the top "dog." But nevermind, embarrassment over my splits has set in after seeing yours. :indiff:

Ahh sorry Dan man... have to start somewhere though eh? :) This is one of those combos where you have to get on the throttle well early to maximise these tyres.

My early splits,

T1' 28.049
T2, 21.722

Still need more front end grip (as always). Can't keep up with Vagabond, maybe I can manage a top three in Div. 4 by weeks end.

Back to it.

This looks good, and I might need you to help "persuade" me to run faster.
I know until now I love SSR5, one of the greats.
Hopefully hot lapping is as good as racing has been for me here.

Took last week off, and now I'm ready for more! Bring it on...! :)

Should be a fun week.

I had to change my GTP tag because of the PSN hack, Hopefully i can get up to level 22 soon to buy the car, im a level 18 now. i remember having fun in this car at Daytona road in GT5P

T1: 29.621

Holy mother of tire smoke, this thing is fast! Definitely will be needing some settings to keep the rear in check with the DS3.I have such a light touch with it now it's crazy. :odd: Corners well but getting on the throttle is going to be my challenge this week. Fun as heck though! 👍

Running lots of B-Spec races and seasonals is how I got up quickly.Send me a FR and I will have my widget run your drivers as much as I can.

Ten laps and I'm already sick of the expansion joints. I'm not sure whats is going to drive me crazy first...the tha-thump, tha-thump, tha-thump, tha-thump down the straight or the walls. Fun combo though. 👍

lots of time to be gained though.

All you need is a Fiat 500 and you're level 20 (from 0) if you win that seasonal.

Love the car and the track.
Car is sliding all over the joint at the moment and having a ball with it. Only spun 12 laps so still a long way to go.

T1: 29.394
T2: 21.897

Cheers all.

Thanks for the tip's, i did read about the seasonal in the heads up thread, didn't realize how much XP it would give me. LVL 23 now

First splits:

T1: 28.461
T2: 21.493

I do like this car

Man I dont like the dark driving anymore at my age, need new glasses I think, I'm about half a cars width off most of the apexs, some you could overtake me on the inside. :grumpy:

May just have one more run at this, see how I feel.

Good combo 👍

T1: 0'27.762
T2: 0'21.192

Woops noticed this lap was on 680bhp hope thats alright with the regs, didn't notice it had droped.

Have fun guys.

Phillip.

Thanks for the link to the settings Adrenaline, I'm sure it can come in handy. And Phillip, you should have seen the pics before I doctored them, I couldn't see anything except headlights, rims and a #4

Faster but still slow and sloppy, even by my standard. Tried a few tweaks but just made it worse so for now I am still at default with max downforce.

I knew this was going to be a tough week for me when I couldn't even figure out where to buy the "night rider"... it's not in the Ford section of the dealership. Someone probably said that and I missed it. :banghead:

After oil change and stage 3 engine upgrade the car was at 705HP not 715HP as noted in the thread. Is that correct? After a few miles HP is inching up as always, but wanted to make sure I didn't miss anything there. Not that I need any more HP as I'm having trouble applying what I've already got!

I get dizzy staring at those lights on the initial overpass... need some night vision goggles. As someone already said I'm probably too old for driving at night. Reminds me of driving over the pass on route 17 (san jose to santa cruz, ca) at midnight after a 6 hour cross country flight :)

With all that said, don't get me wrong, I am enjoying the combo. Those transitions from one surface type to another have destroyed a few promising laps already and this will hopefully be a good week of "growth" from a pretty sorry start!

I'm glad they've decided to give us R3's!

So, any invisible walls that needs to be looked out for?
I'll be giving it a shot tomorrow, yesterday I drove the Nurburgring 4h with this car so it will be ready for some action :)

Wow this car is nuts. Very fast, maybe the fastest car I've driven in WRS to date. I love this track but it's been maybe 7 years since I raced it a lot, there's so much flow to it, except the last few turns which feel a bit awkward to me. I was expecting Circuit de la Sarthe this week, but this is a good 2nd best - lots of fun :)

I recommend turning down the wick on the transmission to 209 (no individual change) - Seems to JUST fall short of bouncing off the limiter with a solid exit.

I ran the setup that was originally posted up by Adrenaline: https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?p=4734243&posted=1#post4734243

The only difference, barring the transmission, was to set the LSD to 20/50/20 which is usually my "stock" setting (with pad) that I start off with.

Great combo. With the R3 tyres, love the way it's glued to the track; very little sliding around.

First few laps:

T1: 0'27.240
T2: 0'20.919

T1: 0'26.942
T2: 0'20.857

T1: 0'26.930
T2: 0'20.659
