Blair and Ren: Wow! I wonder if a battle for a division win was ever that close. Good job, both of you, and congratulations on your top handicap positions too 👍

Now, I'm not one to brag (mostly because I never have a reason to ), but I'm sort of glad I ended up (barely) in front of Al, which hadn't happened in a long time (if ever). I was hoping for a second negative handicap in a row, but I'll take the sub 0.1.

Some really impressive times this week that's for sure - what an event! I'm a little scared as to what's going to happen for the 10th anniversary event

Anyone that submitted a time this week should give themselves a pat on the back - to get a lap that was viable was no mean feat. That said, my utmost admiration goes to the winners and podium placers in each division.

Special shouts to:

Joao - showed your class yet again mate. I was only 0.25 off you at the T9 split (an achievement for me in itself) but you killed me on the rest of the lap.

Mohit - super congrats mate on your first D2 podium, especially around here - makes it even sweeter! You were fast and consistent throughout the week and thoroughly deserved it 👍

To Lucas, Matt and Ren - thanks for the encouragement

Ren and Blair - you guys were crazy fast for D3 and so close. As predicted Ren, a nice handicap bump for you

Mike - outstanding lap. Division win by nearly 6 seconds

I should be gutted that Mohit beat me by 0.3 for the bottom step of the D2 podium, but I was so relieved just to get a completed lap to submit that the positions are secondary, especially when the lap is D1 pace and I get a nice handicap bump (thanks Vaxen)

My T9 split was 4'44.978 and then the run to the clubhouse went...

I'd already lost two laps in the final chicane so on my fast lap I changed my brake bias from 4/8 to 8/8 going down the back straight to make it super stable for the big stop! Easy to see where I lost time that could have got me ahead of Mohit, but my lap contained 7 personal best sectors so without running for another week I'm not sure it was realistic to hope for anything better.

Hah! Got me by less than a tenth after the last braking point, just as I suspected! Awesome! Tremendous return of serve there, Blair!

James' time is unbelievable - I figured we might see 58s and 59s, but a 56 is mad. Great times in there, and congrats to brave participants all.

Thanks to Vaxen for processing and somehow fitting that beast so fast, and Kev for both the wonderful event, and the tune .. I tweaked it a bit, and found both Mike and praiano's tunes very good, but had habituated too much to Kev's!

Cheers guys, was a great a combo! Thought I had a pretty sweet lap even before I tried Mikes tunes, that found me another 8 tenths or so. Fortunatley I managed to hook it all up together, although I did find myself tightening the grip on the steering wheel and the heart pumping going down the back straight lol!

Im happy if any of you liked the tune i made, i just wish i could replicate my best splits in the short sessions i had, was great fun though!

it was a really good combo!

The best splits i had and remember were:
T1: 35.102
T4: 40.989
T8: 35.014
T9: 25.076

And on the remaining part i could shave 0.600 off my ghost on red laps (no pressure lol) a theorical 1.5 second faster, still happy with the lap in the conditions, and twissy you are really impressive! 👍

James' time is unbelievable - I figured we might see 58s and 59s, but a 56 is mad. Great times in there, and congrats to brave participants all.

Thanks to Vaxen for processing and somehow fitting that beast so fast, and Kev for both the wonderful event, and the tune .. I tweaked it a bit, and found both Mike and praiano's tunes very good, but had habituated too much to Kev's!

I tried one lap with the DS3 to confirm my suspicions - I think it may have been one of those weeks where the DS3 was unavoidably disadvantaged in some ways (there being certain high-speed curves where time loss would be probably unavoidable without a crazy tune. Maybe consistency could make it up?).

The car otherwise felt good on DS3, I think (amazingly tunable car helps, I guess). Maybe someone could comment after reviews where you couldn't avoid lifting? Viper?

(Schwedenkreuz, Flugplatz, and latter half of Galgenkopf spring to mind)

You're right that DS3 drivers were at a small disadvantage at Flugplatz, Schwedenkreuz, Mutkurve or Galgenkopf, but that didn't cost too much time. The big problem for me was being fast and consistent at the same time. Small mistakes cost a lot of time or end in the wall in der grünen Hölle. Putting a fast clean lap together was incredibly difficult this week.

Its alright and I double verify Mikes lap is pristine clean without a doubt. I did my civic duty this week.

@ earlindur after reviewing Mike GTs replay there was no where on the track I couldnt keep the car at WOT that he could. I didnt submit. Im very disapointed in my performance this week. I wont use the DS3 excuse. I should have been able to run at least a D2G time and yet I couldnt. I just couldnt do any better than what I did which I cant talk about because I didnt submit a time.
