Steward's Comments:
My love of rockets comes through with this combo. This vehicle is most famous for it's overall victory at the 1995 24 Hours of Le Mans where it beat out faster purpose-built prototypes. That's pretty impressive for a creation that was originally envisioned as the ultimate road car with no intention to modify it into a racing car. Hope you enjoy the ride!

Viewing your Time Splits:
  • You need to make sure you save the 'Save Best Lap Replay' (ghost replay), not 'Save Replay'.
  • To view your best lap replays, go to 'My Home' and watch the replay from there using the 'Replay Theater' option.
  • While in the 'Replay Theater' you can view your total Oval lap time in the replay summary.
  • While Viewing Your Road Course Replay, Choose the "Live Timing Monitor" To View Your Sector Times.
  • To post your T1, T2 and T3 splits, simply post the sector times that are shown in the live timing monitor.
  • The WRS Fetchbot has been updated and will now add your splits together!

Standard Clean OLR Rules:

  • At least two tires in contact with track at all times.

    • In situations where contact with the track is not possible because tires are airborne (above the ground), then the run is only legal if at least two tires would have made contact with the track if the car were not airborne.
    • If track contact cannot be 100% determined, then consider it dirty.
  • Rumble/ripple strips are part of the track
  • Runoff areas are not part of the track
  • No contact with walls or objects, visible or invisible
  • If you're not 100% sure that your lap is clean, then consider it dirty

  • Nothing that goes against the spirit of the rules
  • Save your best lap/ghost replay

Submission:

All submissions must be sent by PM (Subject title: GTP_WRS Week 60 Submission ) to (WRSFetchbot):

  • Please submit your time in the following format on a single line:

Most time changes are measured by GMT. Although GMT has been replaced by atomic time (UTC) it is still widely regarded as the correct time for every international time zone.

Time verification:

Save your ghost replay and keep it at least a full two weeks after the event's deadline:

  • Racers, named by the OLR Admin staff, (if any) will be required to submit a replay for verification
  • Any submitted time is subject to a time verification request
  • When a time verification has been requested, the concerned racer must provide the correct replay within seven days of the request
  • Failure to do so will result in the removal of the unverified submission from the results table
  • Video replays are not accepted as a form of verification

Had a good run here last time and the cars a corker, but I'm not sure how much time I'm going to be able to dedicate to it as I'll be travelling on business next week.

Great combo though Tim 👍

Nice. I'm only 4 hours into LeMans 24 though so probably no go for me.

I just went from  to  to :odd: to 💡 and then  and finally :mischievous:...first 2hrs with this combo. 👍

But I'm not posting my splits because a) they aren't clean, and b) the :mischievous: above was when I was up 0.6 on them before Schumacher and then lost it.

The 💡 above was when I decided to change the gearbox to a 5-speed (w/ 6th as overdrive:sly:), like Hydro did in his LMP last week (Spa Mixed-class Enduro)

Using Praiano's tune for the most part, except the gearbox. Thanks!

And great pick, Tim. After a few weeks off I'm ready to get back to WRS methinks.

(Tried my best to channel Chuk with all the smileys:lol: Doh! There's another one!)

First 5 laps before I head back to the Citroen for a last hurrah!

Car is tricky to start with, then you understand it. Gotta be easy on the throttle when on hard lock, particularly since it appears to have shock absorbers made of diamonds!

Nice one Tim! Your "break" after the race at Spa didn't last too long then ;)

Nice choice Tim. 👍

Early splits, tricky car this one. The rear end keeps wanting to trade places with the front. Doesn't like trail braking much at all. Trying my own tune at this point.

As usual with this track, T1 is driving me nuts.

Love the count down clock 👍 (It just looks so Pro) Real tracks are just the "Shiz Mit" and incorperating the standard rocket ships is just the best. Great combo for the day of rest. Good Luk everyone !!!

First go to get a feel for it and set a target. The F1 GTR was possibly my favourite race car in GT4.... although I probably wasn't any good in it at that point but I put a crap load of miles on it.. :sly: Its a tricky beast to get setup so the back end doesn't just boing around under braking as you turn in.

Running pretty much stock so far apart from tranny trick, 0/0 toe, 2.0/1.0 camber, LSD 5/12/7, max aero, BB 4/2 ABS 10

Plenty of time to find once you get the car settled in for a few laps - warm tyres (3 or 4 laps) and there's buckets of traction. Best sectors so far 33.039, 24.167, 25.063 - hard to say how much left to find as trust in the car and tyres grows with each lap. Nice combo Tim. 👍

Back to the Citroen if I can bring myself to face the Armco for a last session...

Yeesh. The only thing about this beast I understand so far is that the throttle can kill me. Just wanted a break from walls, and I like this combo!. Not spinning out, obviously, 'cos that comes with the territory.

EDIT: Matt, you maybe want to de-decimalize those gears. You're approaching ludicrous speed, apparently. Classic!

Very addictive... looks like I'm not going back to HSR just yet.

Edit - Matt, I think you have to post new splits and then re-post your original splits for Fetchy to wake up and take notice. :) Fetchy woke up then.... Nice progress by the way. You too Blair. 👍

First shot at this besides testing and my T2 needs serious work:

33.143
24.800
25.365

Not going to get much more time on this today as I'm taking the kids to see "TOTEM" by Cirque du Soleil in San Jose. 👍

Wow Chris your really putting the hammer down...
Thanks Jack. 👍 I do love this car.. alot. And the track has generally been quite good to me but we'll see how the splits holds up as the week progresses - early days and all that. I can see at least another tenth, maybe 2, in sector 1. Not sure on the rest of it yet but my last sector lost 0.4 off my best through there so plenty of work to do.

Nice opening T1 Tim. 👍 Your kids should love Totem - its supposed to be CdS's best production so far. :)

This looks interesting. I bought the car to do some seasonals with and I kinda like it. I have an off day Tuesday so I'll get some laps in then since I'm working Sundays now. :(

Lucas, hopefully they fix that smilies problem soon, your message will be rather hard to interpret until then:

Pretty poor everywhere apart from T1 where I'm starting to gain a lot. Shed loads of time left in it as well as trying some other suspension settings, I don't appear to be riding curbs very well....

The chicane in sector 4 and the final turn are so difficult, moreso than sector 1 it seems these days

Very funny :) I decided to give FetchBot a hand by inputting the splits manually, then after punching in the first set good old Fetchy decided to get back to life and do it himself LOL.
Dono where Marijn tickled him but it must have been a good foolsday cracker :D

I have a feeling that the bot is being de-wormed. It's put Tim at the bottom of the board, rather amusingly (yet unfairly) :)

Assuming someone is trying to fix it after it doesn't appear to approve any submissions currently.

..or April fools! (/facepalm)

Not sure if this is the right car to get back into things after a 4 month break. It's bloody fast though, almost LMP-class lap times. :)

Man this combo is a tricky one :banghead: I have resorted to a 4 speed to get the thing to track through the corners. This is going to be a frustrating week for me. I just wish I could get this thing to stay stuck in the corners better. Mills setup doesn't work for me so I guess I'm stuck w/ trying to stay smooth and not make any mistakes.

Maybe someone can play w/ this because the ratios are great for corners and the torque can handle longer gears.

I mistook a quote for a dot which caused the error d'uh.
