Steward's Comments:
This car is incredible. If you have not driven it, please know up front that it's nothing like the Concept or Road cars. It does not have the unrealistic, F1 type downforce both of those cars are equipped with, and it has a proper, petrol powered motor. Best of all, it has a 7 speed gearbox. ;) This is a great combo, the car it well suited to the flowing nature of the track, have fun out there. 👍

Viewing your T1 and T2 Time Splits:

  • You need to make sure you save the 'Save Best Lap Replay' (ghost replay), not the 'Save Replay'

SaveBestLapIcon.png

  • To view your best lap replay, go to 'My Home' and watch the replay from there using the 'Replay Theater' option.
  • While Viewing Your Replay, Choose the "Live Timing Monitor" To View Your Sector Times

Time verification:

Save your ghost replay and keep it at least a full two weeks after the event's deadline:

  • Racers, named by the OLR Admin staff, (if any) will be required to submit a replay for verification
  • Any submitted time is subject to a time verification request
  • When a time verification has been requested, the concerned racer must provide the correct replay within seven days of the request
  • Failure to do so will result in the removal of the unverified submission from the results table
  • Video replays are not accepted as a form of verification

Good luck, :gtplanet:

Nice combo, maybe a bit too fast car for me to drive it safely.
First short testrun, not yet driven in, 150km, 462kw, 629pp.

36.813
34.671

Bob drove the car in, now 470kw with 631pp.

First splits - by no means my best, but I'm just getting used to the combo as I break it in. I already feel more confident after putting Praiano's tune on the car - it's got great turn in, brilliant acceleration, still a bit of power oversteer, but lots of grip on the RM's and handles the course really well. I think I'll be making large strides with this one, rather than small tenths here and there - I've been a bit tentative with these splits, but I'm trying to find the limit, and where I can cut as much time off as possible so splits will come quite regularly I think on this one.

1st try at this combo and must say I'm not a big fan of reverse tracks. :indiff: It is was it is so it'll be a huge challenge for me. Only a couple laps on fresh car that needs break-in.

35.810
34.077

FYI- I'm using Praiano's tune as well. The only thing I HAD to adjust was BB. That 1st hair-pin is nasty :grumpy:

Looks like fun. I keep meaning to find a reason to drive this car and this is as good a reason as any. Now to find the fast color.. ;)

Curse you Kevin! :sly: I have very little free time for the next few weeks and wanted a hiatus from WRS... Love GVS in either direction and this car is a favourite - sweet handling and love that exhaust note. The long and short of it is I couldn't resist a blast round tonight but I have no idea if I'm going to have time to run it again.

But it was fun. :D

Anyway, here's my setup:

Sector 1 video:

...and some splits:

33.868
32.265

Definitely a bit more time to be had there... Had a few faster 1st and 2nd sectors on other laps. Still, even if I don't get to run again, it presents a target to aim at.

1st try at this combo and must say I'm not a big fan of reverse tracks.
Just think of them as new tracks, rather than reverse. Each presents a unique challenge so really has no relation to its directionally opposed counterpart. 👍 GVS in particular is a fantastically rewarding track to master in either direction.

This is my lap from Week 73 in the Audi R10, also on R2 tyres... Might help with racing line:

I tried enough laps to try and start to get a feel for GV in reverse. I never drove this car before, it is very nice to drive. This car looks like a space ship from the rear view.

Very nice vids Vagabond! Should help me refine my lines and drop off those seconds rather than tenths.

FYI- I'm using Praiano's tune as well. The only thing I HAD to adjust was BB. That 1st hair-pin is nasty :grumpy:

I also reduced the BB - I think I dropped it to 7/5, it was a bit too heavy before at 8/6.

Looks like fun. I keep meaning to find a reason to drive this car and this is as good a reason as any. Now to find the fast color.. ;)

The red one! Though I painted mine silver chrome, to accentuate the hard lines (I'm certain it's about to lift off and fly away if I'm not careful).

I tried enough laps to try and start to get a feel for GV in reverse. I never drove this car before, it is very nice to drive. This car looks like a space ship from the rear view.

That's why I don't use rear/cockpit view on this one because even inside it looks like a spaceship.

This is only my third TT since I joined the WRS, but it's by far my favourite combo. Certainly beats Trial Mountain and Fuji - it's reverse, yes, but I love GVS anyway and it just feels good driving round it in this car spaceship.

Still no tune, few miles but there's lots of clean up to be done. And I've settled on Chameleon Orange. :)

My type of combo :D. Great fun .

Hate turn 1 :grumpy:.

Thanks for T1 video Chris, always appreciated :). Wasnt sure on how to tackle that tunnel, but it helped me figure it out.

Oooo, this looks excellent. Hopefully I'll be up and running sometime this week. Not sure if I'll have enough time for a submission worthy lap, but you never know.

Still on break in. Not to pleased so far but slowly getting there. This is a tough combo for me. Note to self: A blade of grass will wreck this car.:banghead:

33.949 33.815

New splits again:

34.985
32.983

Getting better with sector 2, but there's still more time to be made there (at least that I can make) and I've done better sector 1's so that's not a problem. Just gotta work more on sector 3 now.

Just to clarify - this was with Praiano's tune but with max rear aero and a Final Gear of 3.450. I found these adjustments were faster (could have been a placebo, I might be the one that's getting faster but I don't know).

Think im gonna give this one a go, just had to drag my wheel and seat out of the shed where it has sat for the last 4/5 months, I'm hoping it still works properly! Need to get back into this whole racing malarky!

35.446 34.617 34.985

oh boy...this combo is kicking my butt. Must find a way to get the spins outta this car. Anyone got a good LSD setting?

Had about 8 laps. Too hard to control for me, don't think I've ever raced this way round either. Very tricky!

Thought I was doing alright until you improved

Happy Birthday Bandit as well!

 Love this track but it doesn't love me, not so sure this will be a good result for me but the combo is really good.

I'm using Praiano's tune too 👍
