Replay Checking:

1. It is customary for all participants of the WRS to verify each others submitted replays
2. Once you have checked the replay, post in this thread to say that you have checked it and whether it's clean, dirty or doesn't meet the required race specifications
3. When verifying a replay, check against this weeks race specification, check that the tyres are the correct compound and that the power and weight is correct for example
4. If you are unsure about a replay, always seek a second opinion before posting

Sorry, i've tryied to check the 2 replays above but they don't appear on my PS3, it's written "UPDATED REPLAY" My last PS3 update was made at the same time of the GT6 demo..... Didn't know there was a new one, i can't connect my game for the moment.

Updated Replay doesn't mean you have to update your system. Sometimes GT5 saves the replay like that for whatever reason but they behave exactly as normal replays

BTW If your game is NTSC then you wont be able to see PAL replays

Congrats to podiums and participants - can't imagine why this one suited you so well, Mike - you even got better tires than normal

Amazing times up there from the ring rats. Congrats also to Caine and Snow - my target was at or under 7'00, which seemed acheivable, but not with just the banker lap, obviously (I knew I'd lost over 1.5 seconds in the last 5 sectors all up).

so I am average of the people who felt they'd performed fairly averagely!! Was fun competing properly (in mileage and effort if not in lap time) again, and I think it must be well over a year since I've done that. Slightly disappointing that I left so much time on the track, but I'd have to run all of my best splits from completed laps in one to match Ren.

- I think the handicapped results are messed up

GTP_escama1 for example have a handicap of 1.210

and according to overall results he did 1.017 with 0.000 difference
but the handicapped results say he was (1.01656) slower than his given handicap.

Just for info, and not that it necessarily assisted my lap time, but I changed my BB down the back straight from 5/6 (thanks Mike!) to 7/4 to aid stability. Once I did that I never lost it under braking in that final sector braking down from 196mph - only problem was with only 4 clean laps all week, I was lacking the necessary 'minerials' to take full advantage of that extra stability and brake late enough

Mental note to self: run more laps at the 'ring...

but not too happy with my lap as I know that I can go much faster, I'm happy to have a good result in my first WRS, have accumulated a lot and I have not had much time to lose my time until the last day .

mike good result, I hope to make things more difficult in another WRS, as this among many things I could not go as I wanted on my lap.

I know you haven't posted your replay yet, not that I could check anyway as I'm PAL but I noticed two possible issues which someone else will have to check. Not trying to 'depose' you just doing my job

1)

Is the front left tyre still on the cobbles or on the grass, impossible for me to check.

2)

At Least 2 Tires must be in contact with track at all times.

In situations where contact with the track is not possible because tires are airborne (above the ground), then the run is only legal if all four tires would have made contact with the track if the car were not airborne.

I'm unsure on this one... the whole car is airborne, and your left wheels are clearly off track. If your right hand side wheels were on track, and left in the air, then no issue at all because you have two on track. But like it says, if all are airborne then all 4 must be 'on track'. Would be very harsh but needs to be clarified.

Like I said someone else will have to check when you submit your replay. Other than that amazing lap, you can update your spread sheet now, when I last checked the 458 had a time of 7'05 or something like that

Looking at some past events in the archive, it seems that the wording of this rule changes from time to time. Sometimes it says two tires, other times it says four. Also, when it says four tires, there is sometimes (but not always) this in the list of race specifics:

2 Wheels on or above the track at all times

which seems to make the whole thing somewhat inconsistent...
