Viewing your T1 & T2 Time Splits:
  • You need to make sure you save the 'Save Best Lap Replay' (ghost replay), not the 'Save Replay' (See pic below)
  • To view your best lap replay, go to 'My Home' and watch the replay from there using the 'Gallery' option.
  • I recommend using the 'Exterior View' (Behind the car) to ensure the lap is clean.

Standard Clean OLR Rules:
  • At Least 2 Tires must be in contact with track at all times.

    • In situations where contact with the track is not possible because tires are airborne (above the ground), then the run is only legal if at least two tires in-line would have made contact with the track if the car were not airborne
    • If track contact cannot be 100% determined, then consider it dirty
  • Tarmac and rumble strips beyond/behind the white line are NOT part of the track
  • The white lines (dotted and solid) are legal and part of the track. Two wheels must be on, or in line with the white line at all times
  • No contact with walls or objects, visible or invisible
  • If you're not 100% sure that your lap is clean, then consider it dirty
  • No hybrids
  • No cheating of any kind, these are relaxed races and we are experienced racers, we know what times can be done, and we can read your mind.We will know
  • Nothing that goes against the spirit of the rules

Submission:
Since this event is integrated with the regular WRS, everyone can participate and submit a time for the regular WRS. Those of you who are chosen to run this event for the Team Trial Challenge will treat this event like a normal WRS event and submit their replays @WRSFetchBot. Team Captains will just need to PM me which driver is submitting for their team.

All submissions must be sent by PM (Subject title: GTP_WRS Week 10 Submission) to (WRSFetchBot)
  • For Team Trial Participants, I'd also recommend you have the team captain, or another member verify that your lap is clean and up to regular WRS standards.
  • All submitted laps will be reviewed. Dirty laps will be DQ'd, resulting in 0pts for your team for that event.
  • Once your lap has been verified by another teammate, submit it to WRSFetchBot.
  • The deadline is Monday, March 31th 2014 11:59pm GMT
  • If you are unsure of the deadline try this site

Why Use GMT?:

GMT is World Time and the basis of every world time zone which sets the time of day and is at the centre of the time zone map. GMT sets current time or official time around the globe. Most time changes are measured by GMT. Although GMT has been replaced by atomic time (UTC) it is still widely regarded as the correct time for every international time zone.

Good luck, :gtplanet:

Team Captains remember to PM me your Week 9 participants before the deadline this Monday.

I'll be away with family for a few days with limited internet this weekend, but I should be available if you have any questions. Or one of the other WRS Admins can help too 👍

Just to get the leaderboard started:

Ahh, sweet - I've been looking forward to Ascari coming up in GT6 WRS - The RX7 is such a great car with tuning/aero so I can imagine this is a total blast.

Thanks for the great combo and for that massive effort cataloguing the chicanes and run offs for legality! 👍

I don't mean to start an argument here, but I believe that these four areas of the track should be declared clean. It's part of the real life racing line and I'd be happy to bring along video proof.
Remember the Veyron Seasonal? The game invalidated a lap if one ran over that part...
---
Great combo!

First lap, not changed any settings yet, still trying to work out which way the track goes :dunce: The chicanes are going to require plenty of replay checking.

The RX7 is one sweet handling car, at least until I get trying to tune it! :banghead:

That's me for tonight. I can't see to do more than one lap clean. Always have to restart, so lose a lot of speed over the line.

42.117
1'33.850

Just checked my lap sheet. Just over an hour and 9 laps that were not awefull. Some of those were dirty.

Anyway, good luck for this one all!

Guys I agreed with you at first, that the chicanes should not be so strict. But Jerome and the rest of us admins tested it enough both ways to determine this will require the least amount of "whip out the camera" for verification. There are huge gains to be made if the concrete parts are legal and the game does not red-lap very well. I caught a few lucky blasts through there that felt legal at the time, but then were just out of bounds after completing the 2min+ rest of the lap and checking for 15min with the camera.

We know what we're doing. :sly:

Well then I won't be participating in this combo. Have fun guys.
I can completely respect that Andrew, as well as you keeping you word and not arguing. 👍 Seriously.

But before making your final decision, I'd ask that you try that first chicane repeatedly using both our white line rules and the grass-as-the-line rules and see if you can see where we're coming from. It's just such a lottery and there are much better ways to find time on this track than these chicanes.

Maybe we'll open them up for the online race, which I'm really looking forward to. 👍

EDIT: Like'ing your post does not mean I want you to not participate. On the contrary. :)

I guess I could give it a shot. But I'm just not a big fan of that rule. I respect the decision and all but I like to do events that are most comfortable for me. :)
