Replay Checking:

1. It is customary for all participants of the WRS to verify each others submitted replays
2. Once you have checked the replay, post in this thread to say that you have checked it and whether it's clean, dirty or doesn't meet the required race specifications
3. When verifying a replay, check against this weeks race specification, check that the tyres are the correct compound and that the power and weight is correct for example
4. If you are unsure about a replay, always seek a second opinion before posting

Congratulations to all podium finishes! Bart, you just flew through the bus stop (everywhere else too for that matter)

Have I won my division for the first time? Is this really true? Couldn't be happier!! Mount Panorama was a hard week for me and I surely wasn't expecting a division win right after it. This was just my kind of car, 500 to 700hp race cars is what I usually drive for fun in the game since GT 2. Some familiar names being promoted to Division 2 surely didn't hurt either

But there is something else.
Last year I was very sick and couldn't do much else than playing GT (as soon as my hands allowed me to). Some of the last weeks of WRS for GT 5 were pretty difficult, like the GT Diablo at Cape Ring and the Ford GT IV 67' race car at Daytona road course.
I had problems both times, clueless about the Diablo and struggling badly to control throttle with the Ford. Was about to give up on those ones and both times I got help or advice from Kevin and Chris. Or simply just encouragement from someone around here. It kept me trying, and after driving that moody, slippery Ford for a million miles, the Camaro and the track felt familiar. So, guys, congratulations on making this a community where people can better themselves, if only by the glorious moments when perseverance pays off (Ah, if the real world gave some of that more often...)
Oh, I almost forgot: I can't thank PD enough for luring people into GT Academy so I could feel fast for a little while

It took me all week to get close, kept messing up different parts of the lap.

My fastest lap was 3 wheel off at the very same spot. And I've had a lap been disqualified before too , so I know how you must be feeling right now.
From now on , I suggest you check your submission laps with a magnifying glass.

Extreme close is a statement in this case,I think your catch is a 1 in a million.
I've tried at least 20 times to catch this particular moment,just could not do it.
It seems that it's easier when you can convert the replay with a capture card,but haven't got one myself.

Unfortunately someone else did and since then I rely more on instinct watching it in real time, so that even if I can't find the exact point it goes off I won't submit it. No-one is perfect though and given how close this one was I don't really blame pitskater for submitting it.

Not sure if you were referring to me or not about the capture card. I don't have one either and got this the same way you tried, by repeatedly going back to the start of the segment and hitting pause just at the moment I thought it was going off. I don't remember how many tries it took me but it wasn't single digit.

It's indeed hard to catch because of the shape of the curbstone (there is a small triangle between the end of the curb and the tarmac) that you need to be able to snapshot it exactly.

I don't know how many times I've thought that as well. I remember checking a few replays at Rome and the rally track where I needed every 1/60-second frame that the replay gives us, and it taking me dozens of tries to get them.

It really is a matter of centimeters (or as those on my side of the Pond call it, inches). That's why, if I have to do a frame-by-frame analysis of my lap, I toss it.

Sorry @serfon it's dirty. As mentioned, there was only frame where it was undeniable, before and after that frame were clean.
