shows that the replay has been posted and verified.

blackflag-gif.152573
shows that the replay has was found to be invalid.

Replay Checking:

  1. It is customary for all participants of the WRS to verify each others submitted replays
  2. Once you have checked the replay, post in this thread to say that you have checked it and whether it's clean, dirty or doesn't meet the required race specifications
  3. When verifying a replay, check against this weeks race specification, check that the tyres are the correct compound and that the power and weight is correct for example
  4. If you are unsure about a replay, always seek a second opinion before posting

Gold means if your laptime was 1'46.144 or lower, your handicap result would be the equivalent of Division 1 Gold, between 1'46.145 and 1'46.430 is a D1 Silver time, and so on. Par basically means if you beat the par time, in this case 1'45.886, you achieved a handicap result of lower than 1.000. Also known as, you're a god.

No idea what this does.

So am I right in saying that if your lap time is lower than your division average, you get a negative handicap, and if it's higher, you get a positive handicap?

The important part is really how your lap relates to it. It's relative to all participants in the field, so will shift a small amount when the results are made final, in case of DQ's, etc.

But in this case, your Handicap for this event was 2.082, last number shown below. That's D2 Gold Class. This time, and your next 2 results, will be averaged together to determine your division placement.

10--1'46.842---GTP_Mini_Stiggy r=2.082

Correct.

I suppose my replay would need to be verified since this is my first week.
Yes, but you've already uploaded it when you submitted. All of the replays can be found on the right hand side of the results post in the leaderboard.

http://wrs.gtplanet.net/GT6/results/26/

Participants verify each others replays. All that are noted as verification required have to be checked before the week is made final. The other replays are optional to check, and can still be DQ'd for rule infractions (off track, contact, etc.) Event regulations (car settings, aid settings) are checked at the time of submission.

If you achieve a negative handicap, you performed better than your current handicap. If it's positive, you did worse. For example: My current handicap is 0.975, but due to my non doodle-like performance, I ended up achieving a 1.360 handicap for this week. Thus, a positive handicap of 0.391

4---1'46.167---doodlemonoply r=1.360 (d1/0.391)

Well Kev beat me to the punch, and explained it better.

Fantastic job to @mcsqueegy and @LLOYDZELITE69 for sub-par handicaps. 👍
It's probably your submission that gave us those handicaps, so thanks :P

I just realised my last 3 submissions have been wins, so that's awesome! Nice job to @LLOYDZELITE69 for being so close after much less running.

Thanks:)
I'm going to quote an old post to answer your question:

Vaxen
Weight: How much this race counts relative to other races when calculating handicap. This number is almost always 1, but has been reduced to 0.5 before in special events such as dirt rally.

Squeeze: Adjusts the gap is between the divisional handicap times. A low squeeze (near 1) means there's a large gap (usually a technical course), while a high squeeze (2 or higher) means there's a small gap (usually a relatively easy course).

Scoot: Another adjustment to the handicap time, but this moves the zero par time up or down by the amount listed. This is also done to help fit the data to the base handicaps. A negative value means that the whole field outperformed the course, so the par was moved down. A positive value means that the whole field underperformed, so the handicap was moved up.

Correct.
Ah. So the r=x.xxx is what determines your division? 0.000-1.999 is D1, 2.000-2.999 is D2, etc?

Yes. Week in and week out, it just tells how you performed relative to our division scale. But for you new guys, averaging the first 3 events you run in is replacing our qualifier.

We also update your handicap based on event results, and if you overperform your handicap, it will change over time. It will never get worse based on a positive handicap, but will improve when you have negative handicaps (after you have been placed).

Whew! Squeaked out a negative handicap, barely! I'll take it. Some darn good T4 times put in by a host of folks. Congrats to all those that made the podium. Great job to all who met their goals. On to the next one.

Clean lap. I think you lost a bit of time because you shifted up too soon. Really had to let this one rev out right to 84 or 85 mph before shifting. Also, it is more effective to downshift slowly than slamming into the gear and bouncing the rev limiter. Might have lost .1 or .2 all around the track on those two. I can't imagine using a manual with the sticks though. I feel for you.
I really liked your entry into the Corkscrew.

Excellent Turn 4. Turn 3 caught you out, but that late apex is tricky.

Excellent lap. Can't critique someone who out ran me by 4 tenths. Just smooth as silk.

Lost some time in Sector 4 and barely made it clear through Turn 10, but overall a very solid middle-of-the-pack showing for your first WRS TT. No shame at all in that. Congrats!

Checked a few more that weren't necessary, and it seems nobody else stayed in 4th at turn 6... found that interesting!

Edit: Video of my lap

Used stronger brake balance in this final run, meant I slowed down way too much in the final corner and I overcompensated by giving it too much throttle...

Congrats to all podium drivers and everyone with a negative handicap...Im not one of them, sadly....and from where are these fast, new guys coming? It's nice to have them...welcome

EDIT: I'm bad, I know :)

@crowhop You have to name the checked replays without anything in front of it otherwise Fetchy won't see them and they will not be marked as checked on the LB

Starting to check the other replays now.

Well done guys all laps are clean 👍

I did not expect for myself to be near the top 3 of my Division but my last sector was pretty good. Gained a few spots there and know were I can win some time after seeing the replays.

I just noticed in the OP that also A check of the Rookie replays is required, so I go back to work on that part.

@mcsqueegy Were you hitting low 64 in the last corner on other laps, or more?

I could put it through the corkscrew like that only in practice where I approached below 90 kph. 👍

Alex and Stiggy had both one scary moment but were clean.

I really liked your entry into the Corkscrew

Thanks for the check and the advice Crow! Have always used manual with the sticks and it's no problem. Only ever use auto f playing with no volume (wife asleep) or driving the Red bull hoover machine. I think it is throttle and braking modulation where we DS3 guys are at a disadvantage. Could have gained another 1 or two tenths but I'm happy with the division podium and the negative handicap, specially since the two guys who beat me this week (you and Xelyno) have been promoted to their rightful place at division 2. Congrats on that guys (but I will still try and race you guys to death tomorrow :D)

You get not on every colour stripes and some of them give withe stripes and others black so you have to try different colourschemes.

Painted my car silver (as always) came with beautiful black stripes.
Sorry for the double post :scared:
