Replay Checking:

1. It is customary for all participants of the WRS to verify each others submitted replays
2. Once you have checked the replay, post in this thread to say that you have checked it and whether it's clean, dirty or doesn't meet the required race specifications
3. When verifying a replay, check against this weeks race specification, check that the tyres are the correct compound and that the power and weight is correct for example
4. If you are unsure about a replay, always seek a second opinion before posting

Sorry Kjeld, the first chicane is not clean on entry and exit. I can get a picture of the exit but I'll check some more replays first.

The tarmac/concrete runoff areas beyond the white line are illegal, with the exception of the 2 chicanes.

LOL, thanks. The car felt great with 200/400DF and +0.10/-0.10 toe. Kicking myself for not nailing the first chicane and going too wide in the sector 2 double left. That was fairly easy .5 to get.

I also checked GTP_Eternal since he is next in line for podium. It's too close to call for me. I can only stop the replay at 5.127 and 5.144. The trouble spot is in between those two.

Tricky, if the actual frames show it clean... but the pre- photo screen can sometimes show the car in a slightly different position can't it? Does it show anything in this case?

The time jumps quite a bit between the frozen frame and the photo. Maybe someone with PAL version of the game can get different frame.

I'm done with replays for today. This car is great for the Madrid seasonal

Nope, just export the picture the same way you export a replay. Alternatively you can share the picture in your Community profile and them grab them on gran-turismo.com from there (I find that easier as I don't need to quit the game that way).

I left some tenths in the first sector for sure. To get such a lovely handicap after I saw all those cool splits over the weekend is a total surprise, can't complain.

I'm checking replays and, having always used a wheel in the WRS, need to briefly comment on the chicane rule wrt. controllers. With a controller, it's typical to do quick exaggerated inputs instead of smaller ones. So if a front tyre should stray outside because of the sudden rotation, it still spells ill.

I also got a picture of the The_Bugman_ in the first chicane, at frame 0:04.616 when you shoot at 1/8000 s you can see the front right on green. The preview can be misleading.

Not much different than checking your own replay. Importing to the PS3 is the reverse process of exporting yours. Then check for dirty spots like you see in the pictures posted so far.

Pictures taken with the in-game camera are the ultimate reference, and take precedence over the camera preview and a paused replay.

OMG, you've got to be kidding me! I assure I looked at that thing from multiple angles and didn't see that. If someone has a technique I'm not aware of to find these things please let me know.

I knew it was close, and normally I would have submitted another lap that was in the same ballpark, but because of the extreme difficulty in getting a clean lap, my closest clean lap was 0.4-0.5 slower. I threw away at least 5 dirty laps ini the same ballpark as this one. This really bites the big one

Sorry about the close call on my lap, I looked at it and determined that it was clean, but I didn't really expect to be in a position that would require anyone else to have to analyze it. My apologies.

A great combo this week - incredible grip with S3's on a racecar - but I now am experiencing the problems of being absent for a year and playing the new game for only 2 months now.
My splits and laptime were nowhere near what you guys were doing this week ...
