  • Save Your BEST LAP replay before exiting your session
  • Be sure and run at least 10 extra seconds after setting your fast lap. If you exit right away, your time stamp may not show up in your replay.
  • Report your split times in here, so you can compare your pace to other racers, without revealing the full lap time
  • Our leaderboard shows how you stack up during the week, before the deadline
  • Submit your lap via PM to our Fetchbot, before the event deadline
  • On deadline day, we will publish the results in our leaderboard and in a thread in this section
  • Identified replays will be checked by your fellow participants to be sure you meet the event regulations

    • In situations where contact with the track is not possible because tires are airborne (above the ground), then the run is only legal if at least two tires in-line would have made contact with the track if the car were not airborne.
    • If track contact cannot be 100% determined, then consider it dirty.
  • Rumble/ripple strips are part of the track.
  • No contact with walls or objects, visible or invisible
  • If you're not 100% sure that your lap is clean, then consider it dirty

Race Specifics (Rules for This Specific Event):
  • Red and White Rumble Strips and Tarmac are Track Surface. No other surfaces are track.
  • White lines denote track edge unless backed by rumble strips.

Steward's Comments:

Another iconic real world track that to date has defeated me but I still keep coming back as it's such a wonderful track that encourages commitment. This time we're throwing the extreme elevation changes, off camber corners and long straights to a well balanced FF car that responds well to a considered approach to conquering this mountain.

Saving Replays, Viewing sector times and Submissions:
  • You need to make sure you use the 'Save Best Lap Replay' (ghost replay), not the 'Save Replay' (See pic below)
  • Before saving your replay ensure that you continue running after completing your fast lap until at least the end of first sector. This will ensure you have a complete replay.
  • To view your best lap replay, go to 'My Library' and watch the replay from there using the 'Replays' option.
  • While viewing your Replay, enter the live timing screen to view your sector splits. You will need to do this after your car has passed the sector markers to see it listed.
  • Simply post the splits that are shown in the live timing screen, and our Fetchbot will parse them and add them together for your total sector time.
  • When saving your fastest lap replay please ensure that you watch the replay to the end and that it displays your full lap time. Any replays submitted that do not show the posted lap time will result in a DQ.
  • Remember - When you submit your time you're also declaring that your run is 100% clean. We request replays for the purpose of verifying to all those concerned that the drivers claim is correct, which in turn safeguards the integrity of the driver, and just as importantly, the WRS. The golden rule is to check your replay before submission. If you’re still unsure, check it again, ask for a second opinion and if you’re still undecided, run the lap again.

Submission:

All submissions must be sent by PM (Subject title: GTP_WRS Week 7 Submission ) to (WRSFetchbot):
  • Please submit your FULL LAP TIME in the following format on a single line:
    X:XX.XXX
    (Example-) 1:10.100

  • For those of you who were used to submitting replays on GT6, we no longer have the ability to export the files.
  • If you have an error, don't panic. Just review the instructions for submission and submit again. If you are having trouble and cannot figure it out, please post your question in the race thread.

  • Users can delete their submitted time by sending a message with the Subject: "GTP_WRS Week XX Remove Entry" and any text in the body.
  • If you want to submit multiple times in the week that is still not a problem. Just reply to the conversation with your new time. Fetchy always uses the last submitted time as the final one.
  • The deadline is Monday, January 15th 2018 11:59pm GMT
  • If you are unsure of the deadline try this site
Why Use GMT?:
GMT is World Time and the basis of every world time zone which sets the time of day and is at the centre of the time zone map. GMT sets current time or official time around the globe. Most time changes are measured by GMT. Although GMT has been replaced by atomic time (UTC) it is still widely regarded as the correct time for every international time zone.

Replay Checking:
  • Division winners and overperformers will be required to submit a replay via GT Sport Share function for verification AFTER Unofficial Results have been posted.
  • Participants will be expected to check each others' replays for cleanliness, for replays marked in the Results thread as (Check Needed)
  • Video/Youtube/Twitch replays are not accepted as a form of verification

Good luck, :gtplanet:
OLR Team

Oh a nice one combo, Track I always hated, but started to love, and 1st pick from the Gr.4 is what made me happy. I like how those Gr.4 cars handle, at least some of them (Nissan for me no need TC). Never touched this car so will be a new experience at all :D

Will have a look at it soon

Looking forward to this...👍 Back in 2016 I entered a GTP FITT event through GT6 / PS3 and fell in love with the track. I need to find my notes from that event...

There I was thinking after the challenges of a fast circuit with a powerful Mustang that cost 450,000 could we have a slower pace cheaper one this week as funds are depleted and instead we have one of the most challenging tracks in the game nearly 4 miles long with 23 corners and a 350,000 car to boot.

This one will be fun (I think - first challenge will be achieving clean laps !) - so first steps off to Circuit Experience to remind myself of the track as not driven either car or track in GTS plus like @BassAddict dig out my GT6 track notes from past seasonals and lastly check whether Z28 has done a track guide as his Village one certainly helped.........

All this of course to be done after some final 'banzai' laps on Village tomorrrow ................

Edit: Crampons might not be needed for climbing but I suspect walking shoes would be if this was real life given the amount of walking my driver will be doing back to the pits after hitting walls etc in the initial sessions.....

My tip for some reasonably quick funds is here, there may be faster methods but this one is pretty easy and does not require any nasty cheats 👍

First run at this, nice combo for sure.

Need to play around with the tune more and not over drive the 3rd sector.

Seems to respond to downforce adjustments when trying to balance the car.

How the hell are you meant to drive fast around this? :banghead:

I can see this being a bad week for me :indiff:

It's a tough nut to crack.

Amateur tip of the week:

From the very top of the mountain to the first tight left hand turn:

You can run decent times through here without touching the throttle. Just coast and use the brakes to stay on a tidy line. Stay close to the curbs on right leading to tight left.

Lots of time to be gained by getting the car around the tight left, hammer the throttle and take it to hairpin.

I'd recommend taking the road version of the porsche 911 GT3 to the Premium Sports Lounge in professional event at the Blue moon speedway 15 laps. Set power to minimum, weight to max and racing super soft tires.

That gives you 130% handicap bonus and with clean race bonus it will net you 345000 cr for 12 min of race time, just close enough for a GT4 car. A lap should take you around 48 seconds or less. The front runners AI will be much faster on the straights, but are pretty slow on all three corners.

I only win by a few seconds, so to make it risk free, perhaps adjust the power and weight. I haven't tried other settings to see where the 130% bonus splits.
