Watched some of the replays, interesting to see the top 3 used different gearing for certain corners but still ended up with similar results.

This was a very fun combo this week, even if it did test my temperament all week

My optimal for this was in the 56.7s but messed up the last sector everytime:banghead:

Great lap Randy, I tried using 2nd for the double right but found it easier for myself to take in 3rd. Still managed 54.8s this way but the rest of the lap never materialised :D

Congrats to all who's wheel/controller made it through the week (damn walls)

Congrats to the winners and podiums. I see I could of been better by a couple of positions if I could of just hit my optimum of around 57.6. Overall fantastic effort by everyone 👍

Congrats @GTP_randy @Special_K @routergod24 and me old mate @JamCar0ne. Great results all.

It was an interesting combo for me. When it was announced I was happy to see I had a couple of Gr3 Mustangs in my garage, saving me having to buy one, and off I went to try and thread the needle without touching the walls.

Like everyone, throughout the week I gradually improved but I was constantly frustrated by what should be the relatively straightforward sector 2. Despite getting what felt like good exits from the 2 turns that matter I was regularly hitting .7s, .8s and .9s with the very odd high .6 popping up and my best overall lap was a 1:57.463.

By Sunday I had hit the 1000 kilometer mark so I decided to buy a new car and suddenly, without any change in driving style, I found myself hitting regular .5s and the odd .4 in sector 2 and within 100 kilometers of driving the new car my overall lap had improved by 3 tenths.

Has anyone else experienced this where a bought car seems quicker than a gift car?

It wasn't just sector 2 where I saw the improvement. I lost count of the .081s, 2s and 3s I was posting in sector 1. That seemed to be my limit but then last night I gave it a last go and, out of the blue, I hit a 54.895 which, when followed up by a 36.600, gave me a shot at a 1:56. Unfortunatly for me, I blew that chance with an unusually poor run through sector 3 :dunce::lol:

One thing's for sure, I'll be buying more cars from now on.

Btw, thanks for the check @JamCar0ne 👍

Interesting post, maybe it's something we should all look out for, I was using a gift car as well.👍

Maybe mileage does effect the cars like previous GT titles.

This is an interesting topic. What if there is some left over code for high mileage cars that require chassis restoration? Maybe they originally were going to utilize this and then decided against it, but forgot to remove all elements of it.

Now that you bought another one, you'll surely win a few more in the daily gift wheel this week.

Question:
How are the Handicapped Results times determined? I cannot figure out what kind of math is use. It is not a simple addition/subtraction of the week's handicap score against the week's time. At least not by my calculator.

For example, my time / handicap numbers are:

13--1'58.497---JamCar0ne r=2.537 (d2/-0.667)

and I am unable to find a combination of these numbers that yields a handicap result of 1:57.944. Best I can get is 1:57.830

I started to wonder about this after noticing @dranddad posted lap becomes over four seconds slower in the handicap results.
