Congrats to @Philtaylor17 on the win with an extraordinary time and to the ever impressive @Mr P on his 2nd place finish. Congrats also to @billyjoebobx and @oldguy58 on their division wins and @racer_xis on the handicapped results win.

I've generally not been a fan of the Fuji track but I did enjoy this combo and ended up just a tenth away from my optimum. Having said that, I was clearly losing a fair bit of time in the final sector and with that in mind I have to point out the terrific jump that @MrCooper made from 12th place after the second split to 4th place in the final results

Finally, hard luck to @RuddRacer and @Rikson

Gutted for you @RuddRacer and @Rikson

Loved this week, always a fan of Fuji but struggled to get used to the C7's handling ( maybe a week of f1 2018 / assetto corsa didn't help ) but chipped away through the week especially in the final sector.

I ended up starting the lap with neutral brake balance despite the downhill braking zone as the vette seems to have more rear grip than front, but then switching to +1 for sector 2 and then +3 or 4 for the last sector where every braking zone seems to be combined with turning the car.

Changing up fair early in the rpm range seemed to be better than maxing it out, and for some reason riding the kerb at the last corner always upset the car less if i timed the gear change just as I went over it maybe the momentary lack of force being put through the rears helped but not really sure tbh

My replay is shared now too, am I ok to put it up on Youtube now or do I need to wait until its checked?

I explained what brake balance changes I was doing through the lap and stuff in my other post but basically starting at 0 for t1 then +1 rear until sector 3 where i changed to +3 or 4.

Probably sit this week out - not my kind of car but happy lap time hunting to all

I ran about 40 more laps after I got my 1:39.599, and had a slightly dirty 1:39.534, and learned my optimal was in the 1:39.3's, but couldn't get the final sector right except maybe twice during the whole week. I love this track and am always amazed watching the final sector done right. 👍 My best there was a 43.697.

Deja vu from a previous event but I ended up submitting an earlier slightly slower lap due to a close call yet again on my best lap.. the difference wouldn't have changed anything but the splits are not matching fetchy, these are from my submitted lap 22.711/ 32.673

Thanks; I was hoping I could at least make top 10, but this was a very pleasant surprise. I'm happy with my last sector this time, in contrast to some previous events. Too bad I couldn't get it together with better splits, or I might have even had a chance to compete with you for the podium. Congrats to you, Ron and all other podiums! 👍

Special congrats to @Philtaylor17 for the commanding victory. I'm striving to be this smooth, but I clearly still have a long way to go.
