Replay Checking:

  1. It is customary for all participants of the WRS to verify each others submitted replays
  2. Once you have checked the replay, post in this thread to say that you have checked it and whether it's clean, dirty or doesn't meet the required race specifications
  3. When verifying a replay, check against this weeks race specification, check that the tyres are the correct compound and that the power and weight is correct for example
  4. If you are unsure about a replay, always seek a second opinion before posting

Thanks to everyone who participated this week and put up with my crazy wheel spin combo.

Nice job to RACECAR and Ron for rounding out the podium.

And congrats to Quentin on the D2 win, getting used to that wheel. 👍

I shared my replay with the gtpwrs089 tag.

I know it was already verified but I wanted to try and figure out where I lost that tenth in the 3rd. I guess pushing 2nd gear to the very end of the range was detrimental even though the shift felt smoother? You're shifting 7-8 kph earlier than I did!

Interesting 2nd sector you stayed in 2nd gear nearly until the end of the sector and the time was pretty good despite starting the lap sideways lol. Makes me wish Id have tried that.

I noticed going all the way to limiter was slower at times. But some of that was trying to manage wheel spin. A pure short shift did not work, but something in between sometimes did.

I think the line, and releasing the wheel while feeding in throttle was also important.

I had a few T3s in the .8s, but this was among my best.

I think the last corner, holding 3rd, and getting the line and throttle on point correct was also really important. Sometimes wheel spin on exit of the last turn would cost a tenth or so as well.

On this lap, I had a good initial hairpin onto the straight and a good last corner.

Thanks for the verify there :) I'm going to have to check out these replays tonight when I get home! Be very keen to see.

Is good to see though that the times are so close between everyone. A great challenge this week, always striving to decrease those times.

Congrats to the top dogs, you've done well!

Sorry for taking so long, normally I'm quick with sharing these as soon as possible but the recently discovered Arthritis (Thankfully not in my whole wrist as first thought, but instead in my Swollen Ring finger)has made things abit more difficult.

You had a custom transmission installed. Compare your replay to others and its pretty clear yours shifts faster and gears 1, 2 and 3 max out at different speeds than others.

No need, just looked at my settings and there it is :banghead:

Thought I had everything set to normal (even checked to make sure I didn't have any PP points put on it) and didn't even catch that. Apologies everyone, complete oversight on my part.

@Mr P Thanks, Ron, for buying a P4 and not making it back to this one.

I'm sure you would have improved had you run again. I think 2nd gear in the final corner cost you a bit. 👍

I also looked at replays for @quentin1974 and @Xtr3meNZer . I would say for both you guys, had you short shifted to 3rd for Dunlop, and braked sooner for the first right hand hairpin in the final sector, you would both have been quicker. But both good, clean laps.

Also, for Xtr3meNZer. Turn off that ASM. It only slowed you down. I tried a lap with it, and it was awful. :yuck:

Nice job to both you guys to try and tame this thing. 👍

@bil coz I am making a separate post for this one as I don't want to take away from the others.

Did you look at your replay before submitting?

I watched your replay to see if I could offer some final sector advice, but this is what I found.

Thanks, I will look into the ASM tonight - I didn't realise it was on to be honest, so I'll check it out when I give it a go.

Very much appreciate the tips there though, always good to have some constructive criticism. Can only get better :)

It's called "Active Stability Management" in the driving settings menu, not the Car Tuning. Same place you can change the ghost, cones, line, etc.

The little triangle icon on the HUD flashes when it's on, and it's applying brakes on one or more wheels to try and keep the car under control when it thinks it's not.

In most cards, it flashes from time to time.

But in this case, it was on solid anytime you were full throttle.

Haha, you know I wondered what that was when I drive, but didn't think anything of it! Wow, yeah, I will definitely be turning that off.

Thanks again!

I would hate to see my car in any other place on that picture.
Never mind then.

What do you mean?
I mean it's exactly where I want it to be, and I will continue to put it right there every lap. That's how to run Tsukuba imo.
No big deal.

One more thing, it's my 4th or 5th event and I still haven't been placed in a division.

We have to draw the line somewhere, just ask that you read the event specifics to understand where those lines are.

The "old" Tsukuba had a wider rumble with a flatter brown surface, but we've always used Red and White as the boundary here.

yes I know and I accept your decision. I really became aware of this event 2 hours before deadline. But even if Id read the first post entirely it would probably not have hit me that this track extension was illegal..

Not sure if you saw the division placement comment I made, cause I added that afterwards.
