Just finished my mock up for my simulator rig, turned out pretty good.

$50 in timber
$40 in hardware (bolts, screws, wheels, carpet)
$50 for an MX-5 seat
$50 for the paint and polyurethane

couple of weekends and you've got an awesome and very very sturdy rig.

Looks awesome, I used an MX-5 seat too (must be from a different year though, mine has an adjustable headrest) but my cockpit is nowhere near as finished as yours yet, unfortunately.
 
Nice work, question.. is that a Porsche sitting in your garage next to your cockpit with the paint undercoat? I spotted the Nürburgring sticker!

I'd love a 911, but right now I've got an RX-7 Type RS, it's an awesome car, I've driven on the nurburgring a few time, but only in hire cars
