Playseat Challenge - T500rs - TH8rs

New setup. Playseat Challenge, Thrustmaster T500rs, TH8RS Shifter.
The seat handles the weight pretty good. You can feel the forcefeedback trough the seat, wich is pretty nice!
Out of the box, it does not support the shifter. I added an plate of aluminium, to mount it.
It stil folds together to put is away!

Went from Wheelstand Pro, to GT Omega Wheelstand, to this. This is by far the best for me!

Glad you like it. I understand you need to put it away. Too bad you don't have a dedicated place in your home for sim racing for the money you spent on wheel stands and this you could have gotten a dedicated rig. Nice work on the shifter.

Looks good, wanted it for my self but Playseat mailed me that they didn't test it with a T500 and I should buy a real playseat instead.

How is it with a T500 compared with a Wheelstandpro witch I have now?

Hey Triskele,
The guy's from insidesimracing.tv have reviewed the Playseat with the T500. When i saw it i decided to buy.

Wheelstand officials emailed me also, that the seat does not support the T500, but is drilled just fine for it.
It handles the weight fine.

The Wheelstand Pro, handles the T500, but when you realy put some strength into youre wheel, it wobbles, (Like when you try to recover your slide with some countersteering.

For just a Wheelstand, the GT Omega is the best. No center pole, no wobble.

I think the Playseat Challenge is the best option for a rig, you can put in an unused space, out of sight.
The seat is awsome, not to hot. i can race it for hours!

Did you consider the seat attachment for the GT Omega wheelstand? That would've resulted in a more robust cockpit.

How large of a plate did you have to add and at what gauge?

In centimeters, (sorry, metric) the plate is 48/11, the aluminuim is 4 millimeters thick.
I now have some room to mount things on the left and right side of the wheel.

That looks great. I also need a playseat that I could put away. Is it compatible with the G27?

It is supposed to work with the G27. There is also a shifter mount, you can order with it.

Nice job! I wonder if a Z type bracket for the shifter could be an option...? Just to lower its position a bit

Hi, I own a T500 RS and plan on buying the Playseat Challenge. I googled both names and found your post. Can I ask you how it went? The T500 RS is quite big with a powerful FF, did it destroy the playseat? Thanks!
