PS4- Can a PS4-digital copy use the save from a disc copy?

Hi everyone, I've decided to get a digital copy of the game and no longer use my disc copy. Can I use the same save data?

I'm asking because I'm considering upgrade paths and want to use an all digital copy in the future on a PS5 (where I assume I can transfer the PS4 save data right?)
