Recently unable to play YouTube videos within the forum.

This problem popped up recently and I can't figure out why. To watch a YouTube video I have to exit to the YouTube app instead of being able to view directly from within the thread. I get this error message after 20 seconds or so of 'thinking time'.

Translation: There has been an error. Try again at a later time.

Strange, works just fine for me on mobile:

Out of curiosity, is your mobile device Android or Apple?

It's Android.

Nothing changed, just one day the forum refused to allow me to play videos within the thread

Is there a specific video or thread which isn't working for you?

I just checked my Android testing device. It was able to play the videos as expected and I've not received any other reports of problems.

What browser are you using? My first suggestion would be to try disabling any browser plugins.

@Jordan I'm using Chrome and it's for every YT-linked video in the forum. I've a sneaking suspicion it's something to do with Google account association, but I haven't made any changes so it's just a hunch.

A quick update...

YouTube videos work fine in other apps. I haven't tried a different forum or webpage, though.

Update: just as mysteriously as the problem started, it's gone.
