The lengthy history of the Gran Turismo series has resulted in a lot of obscure titles and other memorabilia over the years, making it very popular with collectors worldwide.
Although it will be hard for anyone to top edward_v12’s incredible collection that we featured a few years ago, GTPlanet user “GTAndy36” has offered a unique opportunity to stock up on some of the series’ most sought-after titles.
He’s selling off his own extensive catalog here in our forums, which includes the extremely rare Gran Turismo 2000, special promo versions of GT5 Prologue and GT PSP, factory-sealed Japanese games (including Tourist Trophy), soundtracks, and a lot more.
His collection even included the rare Gran Turismo 4: BMW 1-Series Virtual Drive (the first GT game to actually feature the Nurburgring Nordschleife), a Gran Turismo HD Concept install disc, and press kits, but they’ve already been spoken for.
Check out his full collection here, and remember, GTPlanet’s Trading Post is a great place to buy and sell Gran Turismo memorabilia (and just about anything else) with other dedicated fans.
I didn’t know the BMW Virtual Drive demo was considered ‘rare’. What would you guys say it was worth? I have one kicking around I might sell if its worth it.
With gaming memorabilia at the moment, things are worth whatever someone is prepared to buy it for.
I came to an agreement at £30 with someone for the BMW disc, if that helps.
Wonder if anyone has the gt5 demo with the better car damage that didnt make it to the final version, the so called best buy kiosk demo
All PS3’s play PS1 games, so only the ps2 games you need a fatty for.
Wonder how many of these there are in the world…
I didnt know my Tourist Trophy was rare
still the best bike game ever made. Kaz should have made an HD version with x16 bikes on track at once.
I never played GT Tokyo-Geneva concept…can you even get it in the US?
Doubt it
It’s EU-only.
Nothing beats the good ol’ scratch n sniff burnt rubber discs!
Abbreviated GT does not interest me. However, I’m really interested in getting my hands on that Stealth McLaren F1! Now if anyone knows how to go about getting one, post pre-order DLC, I’m all ears.
stealthy 787B for me please!!
artmannn a friend of mine bought a code on ebay , but i think you might get them on psn :)
GTandy36 got a great collection of Gran Turismo items.
If it weren’t for my lack of cash at the moment, I would probably have bought it all already. :D
For now, i’m waiting for some of the items to arrive, probably next week. :P
Ooo, I wanted all of it…
Too bad this was posted after the ‘good stuff’ had already sold : /
Jerome

I have GT HD still on my HDD, never to be removed :D

oh, last time i tried they weren’t up.
I thought they were going to release the old GT games in the PSN :/
Go to a shop for used games and buy them! I have played through GT1 (almost) again and it is awesome!!! :D:D:D:D
How much is it? I might be willing to buy it
my copy of GT1 still has the old £5 off pay only £39.99 sticker on the front! who says games have got more expensive :)
Actual blue disks, how I miss the PS2 days.
Glad I’ve got a PS3 fatty. I’m might get me some of the action.
if you like playing with input lag and lag on your tv screen.
What lag? That’s nonesense. I sometimes play with my PS2 in a big HD screen and I have no lag whatsoever. It’s all about the setup.
my launch Phatty died.. got a nice little PS2 slim rigged up for the totally authentic PS2 experience -hehe-
can’t wait to get my hands on Drive Club. looks sweet.
nice to crack out the old Logitech Rally Wheel once in a while too, i miss TOCA! :(
I got one also!
to those not knowing, playing ps2 games on ps3 causes delay (lag). this is most noticable with fighting games as they are 60 fps and there are thing like 1 frame links etc that the lag will become noticable. easiest way to test it is by doing a jump attack at the lowest point before landing. it wont come out.
with racing games this i believe 2 or 3 frame lag is noticable only when using the fastest cars, especially on tight courses. try playing gt4 on a phat ps3 using a fully tuned minolta or sauber c9 at cita di aria. even people whos brains register 30 frames per second will notice this (most good players should notice it either way, good drivers and fighters brains work at 60 frames per second, i mean they see at 60 fps).
if you have a good flatscreen set up with a ps2 the lag will be barely noticable. ps2 games on ps3 always lags, this much is a fact for those that did not know. ps2 games on ps3 with a bad flatscreen set up is highly noticable.
