If you’re anywhere near Madrid this weekend, head on over to GameFest 2010 where you’ll find a Gran Turismo 5 demo in the game’s massive booth at the show. Although there doesn’t appear to be anything new revealed or announced, Sony’s holding a “Championship” each day, with a voucher for a free copy of the game presumably up for grabs. Details are scarce – check the full schedule of events here.
Thanks to GT Academy winner Lucas Ordonez for tweeting the picture above!

So the 2nd of november equals the second coming right? Guess that makes sense. Can’t wait lol, its been forever but worth the wait.
Looks like we have to wait till the 27th for substantial news, or hopefully something comes out of Amsterdam next Wednesday to keep us sane.
What a big “GRAN TURISMO 5 THE REAL DRIVING SIMULATOR” bill board .. I like it!
Damn so many people already had a chance to play GT5 demo … more than 100.
“Checks the calender” 24 days…. till the revolution
Was Billy Mitchell there or did he just send in a tape of his lap times?
+1!
Why is there NEVER anything like this in the New York area?
Are you kidding……?
CRZ demo?
Oh right… New York must be a horrible place to be… nothing ever happens there. I guess that’s why it’s called “The Big Apple”, because everyone is as bored as Adam and Eve were when they decided “Nothing fun ever happens here. Let’s break some rules, we could start by eating something forbidden. Let’s see, what do we have…”
they Played forbiden Gran Turismo
Well for those who live in New York, we usually get the short end of the stick when it comes to gaming events, tournaments, etc. That CRZ demo was…well, if you read the article a couple topics down in the “news”, you’d understand.
Happy Birthday, John Lennon!
(whistles)
Funny how I’m currently listening to a Korean rock song based off of Lennon’s “Imagine”!
I hate the info dry spell we’ve been having. At LEAST show us another rollover video that doesn’t involve lighted asian house-hats…
AND WHAT IS SO WRONG ABOUT LIGHTED ASIAN HOUSE-HATS?!! All I wonder is if they have cockpit view…
I can’t wait any longer.
Congratulations, Dr. Evil.
Ok. So. . . are we gonna be for the most part dry on information from now till release?
Well…a major GT5 press event in Amsterdam is coming up on Wednesday, the mega-super-huge GT5 Launch Party will be taking place in Madrid on the 26th, the GT5 review embargo will be lifted, and press kits will be distributed all before the end of the month. In other words, the answer to your question is most definitely “no”.
ohh. . . ok. Didn’t know that. Thank You Jordan! You’re epic dude. But if you hadn’t told me I probably wouldn’t have known till day of that there was that much coming. So Thank You.
A review embargo being lifted on the 28th means that details will almost certainly be leaked beforehand.
@Jordan. There is a review embargo still in place? From what if the game isn’t finished left then how could the reviews reveal anything we don’t know, is it from private sessions that has been held?
@Pie ‘n’ Peas
Witch means I wont be touching Facebook, Forza forums, or GTP at all between Oct. 26th and whenever I manage to pull myself away from GT5 after release.
So the game reviewers will basically be waiting for the metaphorical green flag until the 26th so they can publish and display their reivews?
This is fantastic. Quan and I are going to go!
