It’s Tuesday, and that means Turn 10 has revealed another batch of cars for Forza Motorsport 7. The latest group is one of the biggest yet, with 145 models spanning two dozen manufacturers.
Much like last week’s American-themed reveal, there are no new-to-franchise cars here. Also like last week — as some readers helpfully pointed out — Turn 10 has included Aussie cars in the mix. The Fords were grouped with their parent company, but all manner of Holden, HSV, and HDT are here this week.
As expected, a lot of the cars added to Forza Horizon 3 are present and accounted for. On the plus side, the list does confirm a large number of 360-era cars thankfully making their return after half a decade.
BMW gets a surprising amount of returning favorites. The “clownshoe”, otherwise known as the Z3 M Coupe, rejoins the party for the first time since FM4. Alongside it, the much-requested E60-generation, V10-engined M5 returns, as well as its two-door M6 sibling. The M5 was one of the dozen cars we thought needed to return to Forza. We’re up to three confirmed now: the E60, the Aston DB4 Zagato, and the Dodge Omni. We wonder what will pop up next…
Other cars making their current-gen debuts include the Alfa Romeo Montreal, HSV w427, and Mercedes-Benz C32 AMG. The latter has technically appeared in the Horizon series already, though only as a non-player traffic car. There’s also a brace of big, lumbering SUVs: the Audi Q7 V12 TDI, Mercedes-Benz ML63, and VW Touareg R50. We’ll admit, we didn’t see those coming.
With this list, it appears most of the major road car lineups are complete (you know, other than Toyota). Dan Greenawalt has already teased that a dedicated race car list will be coming: our bet is on next week now. We’re also hoping a future reveal will focus on genuinely new-to-Forza cars. The game releases at the beginning of October — or September 29 for those that pre-order the Ultimate Edition — so there’s still time for some surprises.
