Project CARS and Ginetta Cars have entered into a partnership to give competitors an opportunity to reap the rewards of a potential racing career, courtesy of the Ginetta x Project CARS eSports Cup.

Assetto Corsa has been in the hands of console players for the past few weeks and a common complaint is that the game suffers from multiple issues that hinder the overall playability. A slimmer, more power-efficient redesign of today’s readily-available PlayStation 4 was first speculated on earlier in the year when Macquarie Securities analyst Damian Thong spoke with the Wall Street Journal. Damian suggested the company would introduce the model, and with the company’s noted history of doing so previously, there was little doubt to be had.

Over the past few weeks there’s been plenty of excitement in the Forza camp as the days remaining until the release of Forza Horizon 3 tick away. The beginning of the month saw the original Forza Horizon make its way onto the Games With Gold platform, available to all players with an active XBL Gold subscription.

Following the disappointing delay news last week, Sony has now confirmed Gran Turismo Sport will be showcased at the Tokyo Game Show later this month. In a list posted on the official Japanese Playstation website, GT Sport appears alongside other upcoming first-party exclusives and third-party titles set to take place in the ‘stage event’ at the show:

Last week, Kazunori Yamauchi took to the PlayStation Blog to announce Gran Turismo Sport would not be released in 2016. The news came as a shock to players, as the public beta scheduled to arrive early 2016 had already been cancelled to ensure the target release date was met. Yamauchi only said that the game would now be targeting the 2017 calendar year, with a more exact launch window (Q2 2016, April, etc.) not mentioned.
