Important details regarding GT Sport’s mission challenges and tracks have appeared during the 2016 Animation-Comic-Game conference, revealing more on the game set to land on store shelves this November.

The fourth and final scheduled race weekend of the month featuring the F1 circus is upon us, and Codemasters are once again taking the opportunity to pair it with an in-game look at their upcoming title. With F1 2016 set to release in three weeks’ time, this will be the final onboard hot lap before the sport’s summer break and the game’s release.

Well now this is an odd pairing. Kunos Simulazioni has continued to tease the contents of its upcoming Porsche expansion packs for Assetto Corsa, hot on the heels of previous hints (first the 935/78, then the Carerra RSR 3.0). The latest two additions certainly cover a broad spectrum: the 2017 Porsche Panamera and the 1973 Porsche 917/30.

Assetto Corsa has been one of the most sought-after sims since Kunos announced that the acclaimed PC racer would make its way to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One more than one year ago. Console players anxious to try the game for themselves have been reassured on more than one occasion that the physics would not be ‘watered down’ when it debuts on both platforms.

Polyphony have let loose the latest batch of Seasonal Events in Gran Turismo 6. This week’s events take you to three well-paced circuits where whoever gets on the power first wins. Three challenge levels cover this week’s events, giving you your sports and racing car weapons of choice.

Yesterday, we saw the latest batch of car reveals for Forza Horizon 3. The Australian media got an exclusive early look before the official site was updated today. However, it looks like someone accidentally released next week’s list early.

With a little over three weeks until the release of this year’s official game, a selection of hands-on gameplay previews have begun surfacing that show off various features of the upcoming title. Chief among them is the expansive career mode, one of the game’s most touted features and a return to form for the series.

We’re keeping with the Porsche theme of today’s news, but switching over to a different title. The Porsche expansion in FM6 brought a handful of new models to the Forza franchise, one of which was the 718 RS 60 Spyder.

The fourth round of the 2016 FIA World Endurance Championship happened at the Nurburgring this past weekend. Held on the Grand Prix circuit, it was a hard-fought battle between the Porsche and Audi prototypes, with the Stuttgart manufacturer clinching it at the end of 194 laps.

As has been the story for the past several weeks, Kunos Simulazioni are full steam ahead leading up to the games release on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One later next month. Recently the team have begun to trickle content relevant to the game that will be available on the day of the console launch, or some time thereafter.

Despite showing up in numerous titles over the past few years — Gran Turismo 6, Forza Motorsport 6, Project CARS, iRacing — NASCAR has yet to enjoy a dedicated game on current consoles. That will finally change in less than two months, with NASCAR Heat Evolution set to arrive on PS4, XB1, and PC September 13. Check out the trailer above.

It looks like the tradition of weekly reveals will continue for the latest installment in the Forza franchise. Last week the first 150 cars were revealed for the upcoming open-world game, and today, another 34 are added to the list.

If you’re unable to make it out to China or Japan during the times the game will be displayed during the summer months, and you just happen to be a UK resident, you too will have an opportunity to try the game for yourself on the show floor of EGX this September.

One of the most well-represented racing classes in Gran Turismo Sport is set to see its ranks grow by at least one more car, if an Instagram post from endurance racer Matias Henkola is to be believed. During the Nürburgring 24 Hour race last month — where GT Sport was playable for fans — Henkola and the rest of the team had access to a special private build of the game, where their Walkenhorst race car was made available for crucial virtual seat time.

Much like the automotive sector, China is a huge market for gaming. Sony is capitalizing on that with a tour of the country over the next week, and Gran Turismo Sport will feature heavily at all three planned events.

Soaked weather conditions greeted drivers of the All-Japan Formula 3 open-wheel series as they entered the 9th round of the series, taking place at Fuji Speedway. Although the weather stabilized by the time the field entered the qualification round, the track still wasn’t dry enough to allow for a full-on slick tire compound. It isn’t everyday that you sit behind the virtual wheel of a racing car so capable that it outright demands the very best of its pilot, and seemingly gestures an insult of grand proportions when those demands aren’t met.
