Located between Great Britain and Ireland, the small Isle of Man annually hosts one of the most dangerous and thrilling motorcycle events in the world: The International Isle of Man Tourist Trophy Race. Although the race is entirely devoted to motorcycles, for the last several years Subaru has been coming to the course in order to challenge the four-wheel lap record. Their latest entry saw a significant improvement, beating the 2014 record by more than 100 seconds!

The first Tuesday of each month is traditionally ‘New Car Pack’ day for Forza fans. With the Season Pass complete, and E3 just around the corner, players are unsure of whether a new car pack will be arriving soon or not. Ford UK has let slip that, regardless of a car pack’s arrival, all Forza Motorsport 6 players will be receiving a free treat today, in the form of the Ford GT LM.

As Assetto Corsa’s console launch approaches the new summer release date of August 30th, coverage of the game continues to gain traction. Just a few weeks ago, Kunos Simulazioni held a special event at the Autodromo Vallelunga circuit where lucky members of the press got to play the console version of the game before heading out on-track in reality to drive some of the most impressive supercars on the planet.

All-Japan Formula 3 Championship is a small open-wheel series that takes place at various landmark circuits all over Japan. Each weekend drivers are required to tackle two rounds per course (for total of 16 rounds) if they want to claim the title at the end of season. Well known 2011 GT Academy graduate Jann Mardenborough is one of the drivers currently taking part in this interesting event.

Easily one of the most surprising features unveiled for GT Sport last month, a livery editor has finally arrived in the franchise. As a highly-requested feature, players were eager to dive into the editor at the Copper Box, but found everything bar the basic top menu locked out for public use. While we got a quick peak at the feature in action in the latest trailer, it raised as many questions as it answered. When asked about the level of control players will have in the livery editor, Kazunori Yamauchi had this to say:

What a difference a month makes. When we last caught up with the Pirelli World Challenge after Round 7 (here), Johnny O’Connell and Michael Cooper were leading the points tally in their pair of Cadillac ATS-V.R’s, followed closely by Alvaro Parente in a McLaren 650S GT3. A significant gap existed between Parente and the two Porsche drivers that rounded out the top five – Michael Lewis and Patrick Long. 2011 GT Academy winner Bryan Heitkotter sat in ninth, while his teammate JD Davison slotted in directly behind Patrick Long.

A key area of much discussion in the Gran Turismo series is the quality of audio. Compared to other games in the genre this is an area that GT hasn’t quite met the benchmark for in the past. However, Kazunori Yamauchi has confirmed to GTPlanet that there will be an entirely new system of reworked audio in place for the launch of GT Sport.

Polyphony have flipped the switch and let loose the latest batch of Seasonal Events in Gran Turismo 6. This week’s events take you to three high-speed circuits, covering three challenge levels and dominated by street-legal metal – no racing machines this week.

For many fans, GT Sport is still largely a mystery. With the public beta officially cancelled, the chances of playing the game before its November release are limited. There are exceptions, like the Nürburgring 24H race this past weekend, and of course the big event in downtown London that wrapped up the week before.

Rally racing enthusiasts have suddenly become spoiled for choice in terms of console games. The mud-and-jumps sport has had two dedicated titles released thus far in 2016 – Sébastien Loeb Rally Evo and DiRT Rally – while October 2015 saw the release of WRC 5, the official franchise for the World Rally Championship. We now have word from the game’s producers that the sequel will be available on all major platforms this fall.

The 2016 season of Formula One has been a memorable one thus far, and this past weekend’s Monaco GP only helped to intensify the chaos that’s made for quite an entertaining string of races. Capitalizing on the current state of the season, and continuing to deliver the game as early into the season, Codemasters have officially announced F1 2016 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC platforms and is due later this summer.
