Turn 10 Studios has revealed the latest batch of cars set for inclusion in this year’s Forza Motorsport 7. It’s a big one, focusing exclusively on the Far East.
Somebody at the T10 office must be playing The Vapor’s “Turning Japanese” on repeat these days. Last week, the company announced Final Fantasy XV’s star car the Regalia is coming to Forza Horizon 3 starting today. Now, we’ve got a huge 77-strong list of Japanese cars coming to FM7 — All Lucky 7s, anyone?
The list covers everything from the 1970 Honda S800 to the 2017 Nissan GT-R. While there aren’t any truly new-to-Forza models, a fair amount of Horizon 3’s new additions are here. They should offer new challenges to players, thanks to FM7’s more sim-oriented physics engine.
Xbox 360-era cars have quite a showing too. The final generation of Honda’s Prelude returns, alongside the first Infiniti G35 (otherwise known around the office as “the Boss’ car”). Turn 10 has also brought back Mitsubishi’s chunky Starion. Lastly, mid-aughts Subaru Legacy finally graduates from a lowly traffic model in Horizon into a playable vehicle for the first time since 2011’s Forza Motorsport 4.
There are a few omissions. For one, we don’t see any race cars in the mix. Considering the themed reveals so far, we wouldn’t be surprised if those got their own dedicated reveal down the road. The Super GT Nissan GT-R was one of the main stars of the game’s E3 2017 demo, after all.
The other strange absentee is Toyota. The Top Gear-approved Hilux is the only vehicle from the company on the list. We’re hoping this isn’t a VW-in-FH3 situation, where a licensing issue kept the company out of the game (it has thankfully returned in FM7).
The full list is available below. This puts us almost halfway to FM7’s 700+ total: keep an eye on our Always Up-To-Date Forza Motorsport 7 Car List for the full list of revealed cars.
