Following its PC debut back in November, the latest DLC pack for Assetto Corsa Competizione has arrived today for console gamers too.
The DLC, called the “2020 World Challenge Pack”, brings ACC up to date with the real world of the GT World Challenge. It adds cars, liveries, teams and, importantly, a new circuit to the game in order to reflect the 2020 championship.
There’s two new vehicles in the pack, with 2020 models of the Ferrari 488 GT3 EVO and Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo, both of which made their debut last season. Updated BOP (balance of performance) allows them to slot in alongside their older brethren in the main game modes.
In addition to the new cars, there’s the appropriate livery, team, and driver updates for the remainder of the grid so it’s accurate to the 2020 championship. There’s more than 60 new liveries to get used to, in addition to the cars from previous seasons.
Of course the headline addition is Imola. Officially known as the “Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari”, the Imola circuit makes its debut in ACC with the 2020 World Challenge Pack.
Imola filled in on the heavily disrupted 2020 GT World Challenge calendar, with Monza unavailable due to ongoing global condition. This update brings the challenging 19-turn course to the game for the first time.
Fans of the championship will note that the official series also visited Circuit de Nevers Magny-Cours on its rearranged schedule. However, the Kunos team was unable to visit the venue for the track capture process. Don’t rule it out being in a future update though, as it’s on the calendar for 2021 too.
One final new addition is the Pirelli DHE tire model. This new tire made its debut in 2020, during the Total 24 Hours of Spa, and now appears in ACC too. The 2020 World Challenge Pack is available now through the PlayStation Store for $8.99 (£7.39/€8.99), and Xbox Store for $8.99 (£7.99/€8.99).
